Good luck to Emma Raducanu in the US Open final, live tonight on CH4.

Great game well done her. A superstar in the making.
Some people might notice she’s a good looking girl, not me of course, I won’t notice till she’s 21. Will certainly help with sponsorship.
    I believe you Seano ;)

Interestingly she was at the same school as my kid - in the year below. Same school that Dina Asher-Smith went to.

I’d assumed she went to a private school?

Nope, not needed as she got into a very good grammar (and then went on to the other grammar in the area for 6th form). Both were getting great results.

I can highly recommend Andy Murray's 'Resurfacing' on Amazon Prime.

Like him or loathe him, it is a brilliant sports documentary focusing on his comeback from a career ending hip injury.

Tonight he beat world number 10 Jannik Sinner in Stockholm, 7-6, 6-3.

If that doesn't sound amazing for the former world number 1, watch the documentary and prepare to be amazed...

  • Yeah, it's pretty incredible. It's not exactly easy as a sport on the joints, either. I'd be happy that it worked and call it a day.

I think he is the real Six Million Dollar Man.

  • I saw it last year. It’s amazing.

Murray walks with a slight lean from the hips now but it doesn’t seem to restrict his movement terribly. His actually moving much better than last year and able to concentrate on his tennis without worrying about his body breaking down. Hopefully his form will continue to improve leading up to the Australian open.

So Djokovic has been given a medical exemption to play in the Australian Open without having been vaccinated. Wonder what the reason for that is.

Speculation is that he has had it and couldn't be vaccinated in time.
Or, the money men want the G.O.A.T. there.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

I was surprised to see Tsitsipas playing here, thought he was in the anti-vax camp too.

Will be no surprise if Djoko gets a pretty frosty reception from the crowds. “Medical” exemptions for celebrities and sports stars has been a pretty hot issue politically here.

Certainly sounding like the Aussie press and public are not at all happy with the decision.

No special favour granted apparently. He probably won’t be very popular with the crowd, but that’s nothing new.

  • He is a moron... vaccination rate in Serbia is stuck at 50%...

Didn't he have it in 2020? That superspreader tournament he organised.

Maybe he's had the omicron too.

    Either Omicron or the moneymen.
You decide, they won't tell you if it's the latter.

  • I heard that the decision to grant an exemption was done by a panel of doctors with name, age and nationality removed. I would say he has probably got a reason to be exempted for this tournament.

Still very funny that he has applied for the wrong visa so can't even get out of the airport though. 🤣

Novax* Djokovic getting treated as a person instead of a celebrity. As it should be.

    *I'm not claiming credit.

He has now got an injunction against being deported. Bet he's not enjoying being held in a basic hotel with him being used to luxury.

I’d imagine Djokovic is pretty miffed being told he can play, travelling to Australia only to be locked up with the plebs. A humbling experience no doubt.

Might not be easy to shake this controversy. The big three destined to be tied on 20 grand slams each?
