Currently on a train and mask wearing is around 50-50 I would say. Have to admit I'm not quite sure what the requirement is once we crossed into England as some train operators require them still and others don't (mine is currently off drinking champers to celebrate my daughter's 18th - decadent!)0 -
I genuinely have no idea what in December I thought the death toll would be in July and if I posted that thought on here.pblakeney said:

Went in the office yesterday morning then met mates in the afternoon had too much to drink and had a much missed laugh. It all felt wonderfully normal to me the only difference being slipping on a mask when indoors which I don’t see as any sort of imposition2 -
That'll be because although you posed the original question you did not follow up with a response of your own to remember.surrey_commuter said:

Outside of the tube did you notice a different attitude to mask wearing from home where you have suggested anecdotally that nobody bothers0 -
At home people still do on the whole (still a legal requirement). In central London it looks like the vast majority are still wearing them in shops. I even saw someone running along Westminster Bridge wearing a mask which just seems bonkers (but not as bad as the bloke running down the middle of the road in front of Big Ben!).surrey_commuter said:Pross said:Tube was about 90% compliant on masks but those I saw not wearing them were almost entirely in their 20s or 30s and almost exclusively male.

Also, for those who think youngsters are good judges of risk I was just stood on Regent Street and saw two kids riding down the bike lane pulling wheelies and straight through a red light. Their mate was standing with no hands, one foot on the pedal and the other on his cross bar passing the inside of a bus. It was impressive skill but I had to look away as even a slight bump would have put him under the wheels.
Edit - went in the Nike store, very much in the minority wearing a mask and also noticed that in addition to age and gender there is also quite a big split on ethnicity lines (just an observation before I suffer the wrath of Cake Stop).0 -
Story in the guardian about nightclubs still struggling and having to cancel a lot of nights with too little attendance.

I've spoken to a few people that have gone back to wearing masks after initially ditching them for freedom day.
My brother said he was 50:50 but he went into the coop without one and saw an old couple wearing them and felt a degree of guilt for at least causing them worry so has gone back to wearing them.[Castle Donington Ladies FC - going up in '22]0 -
Visited the supermarket today. Mostly all wearing face coverings as requested by the store signage. Saw a couple of fat middle aged white blokes maskless, def gammon flavoured aroma to them. Whodathunk?0

Not all, but if it was a Cakestop ride I think some people would be wearing masks and having a discussion about it with the others who weren't wearing them.kingstongraham said:
