Very good. Though it depends when you buy. At rrp there are other good options. Some are currently £56, which is excellent.

Lusso Aero 50 are sub £40 mind.

I have two pairs of the aeron pro ones and I think they are excellent. I have noticed that they have gone up a fair bit in price since I bought them though.

Good call. Are they a Movistar or Tinkoff fit?

The one's with the orange detail are £56, the rest £70! as BTR pointed out.

DHB or Lusso, DHB or Lusso... decisions decisions...

    Cheers BTR.

You say you 'tested them'?! Do you buy clothing exclusively to test them or do you have special dispensation and get the stuff free? If not, must cost you a fortune.

Bit of a mix. I suspect the vast majority is now paid for but there's certainly an awful lot of free stuff on there yes.

    I tested these http://www.lusso.bike/product/peloton-pro-bib-shorts/

    And those were excellent.

The reviews are consistently good. It's that 50 mile plus rides that the difference in shorts start to tell.

Never bought Lusso, so this is a step into the unknown.

I think it was briefly mentioned on this thread before, but is there a significant difference between the S7 and the Evo 7 intermediate Asssos jackets? Obviously the Evo 7 is a Mille fit but if you size down for that would you get a jacket of comparable performance-with the IJ S7?
Would anyone recommend either of these jackets for Spring weather 5° to 16° or would you just be better getting a decent gilet?

No, it's not significant and yes, size down. So my S7 Evo is Xl and my Mille is L.

The Mille feels slightly thicker in places but temp is the same. I wore mine for Battle on the Beach last night. Rode there, 10 miles, 15 degrees, did the race, 30 minutes in the dark, rode back 10 miles 8 degrees. Wonderful piece.

Some good deals out there too.

Thanks, those temp sound like what I thought. I was looking at Rapha's Brevet insulated jacket but prefer the more streamlined look of the Evo7/S7, though I suspect they maybe different beasts entirely. Ever ridden the intermediate in the rain?

Yeah, it gets wet. But it's still pretty warm. It's not for rain though. Personally it's a better and more versatile thing than the Rapha.

Bender - any recommendations for a good pair of 3/4 length big tights/knickers?

Was considering the Sorpassos but they seem to be as rare as hen's teeth at the moment.

The La Passione ones look ok but they're out of stock in my size at the moment.

May end up with some Pactimo ones as I'm a fan of their big shorts.

Any others I should be considering, say up to £100?

Weather's turning now. I'd suggest just running knee warmers for now. Much cheaper. Or if you want a pair for the next month or so then the Rivelo are good at Sportpursuit for £49.

Other than that, I'd really hunt down the Sorpasso. They are worth it.

    What size are you?

32 waist, 6'4" so medium or large depending on brand. Large in Castelli/Sportful.

I go out early morning about 6am quite often during the summer so reckon they'd still get used on chillier mornings.

Just saw your Lusso Everest jersey Bender, seeing as you're in my neck of the woods (close to the Bwlch) - if you had to pick a fairly local climb to Everest what would you go for? My nearest is Penrhys from Ystrad but fuck that

Probably the Bwlch on the over side. From the cattle grid not the clock tower!

Just used an "Everesting Calculator" to check that out. Apparently it'd take 35 ascents...piece of cake then!

BTR - you need to get some of the new Castelli Premio bibshorts to try, they are now available in the shops. I didnt know anything about them. I dont know if they replace the Bodypaint, or sit above/alongside it?

    https://blog.castelli-cycling.com/2016/ ... -bibshort/

I hate the new leg grippers in the Free Aero that they introduced a year or so back - they ruined my perfect bibshort to the point where I couldnt wear them as I couldnt get them to fit me - the grippers and the short material no longer had so much stretch in them. So maybe the Premio solves those issues for me...

If you do actually want some tights (?) then they can be had here for £80:

I would assume, though have not checked, that 'CLEAN2017' would knock that down to £70, plus there is TCB cashback as well.

I saw that ^. Usual 'you have to have' email from CRC/Merlin/Wiggle/Evans. I was tempted but thought about the silly money I have spent on clothing this year. That damn Bender bloke.

No, am after the 3/4s. They do have a Sorpasso version but seem to be hard to come by.

I had seen that deal on the tights but trying hard to resist as I already have some Sportful R&Ds so they're probably surplus to requirements.

Think I'm going to try these anyway. Currently a good price plus I've got £5 worth of loyalty points.

Their bib shorts are the best I've tried.
