Why does the assos man always look like he's shat himself, and doesn't want to move incase you notice.

Personally, I think he is more likely to be constipated:

Looks like the position one has to adopt when using the "hole in the ground" style toilets on French campsites.

Bender, I was wondering if you had an old broken pair of Giros around that you might be able to salvage one of the heel pad bolts from and sell to me?
I've just discovered one of the little bolts holding the heel pads in has fallen out of my empire SLX shoes after less than 10 rides! Replacements include both pads and 4 bolts and costs a tenner!

You think I own old worn out shoes?

Nah, sorry, if I did you'd be welcome to them. I'd be having words with the supplier though. Wiggle?

I usually use Wiggle but went for Evans Cycles as someone was selling off gift vouchers cheap on eBay. Will try contacting them but I expect a reply like 'you should check this before every ride' :)

Not good enough! They should, at least, be sourcing a screw but I'd argue that's poor. It is just a tiny allen key bolt I think. Have you anything similar hanging round for now?

I notice there are size 44's, 45's and 47's in your pic mix.

A good review and not too long but i'm still worried about you Bender.

All are 45, or thereabouts. The TIC ones are 44-47 just that I've taken the pic of one side of one, and one side of another.

You're right to worry, of course....

I've some carbon disc wheels coming this week.

6 bolt, U shaped, QR but convertible, tubeless, 24 spoke, 38mm deep. UK warranty etc.

That's quite on message, I think.

I see the Rivelo Honister Bibs in black are back down to £50... worth it or stick to Endura FS pro's.

Ok sorry to drag up the Assos Mille intermediate evo7 jacket thing again, but anyone able to compare it to the Rapha Pro team training jersey? The Assos a bit warmer and the Rapha a slightly more 'pro' fit. With the Assos having slightly more technical materials -windstopper type front? Just wondering as id like both but think there might be too much overlap and the Assos a bit wider range of use? Any thoughts?

    Very nice.

Which wheel is on - the Fulcrum or the stealth option> Are you now doing bike reviews 'cos this could get really expensive?

I'm a little uncertain; Sarto Seta or the Legend HT 7.5?

looking forward to the review of the disc wheelset, had a look at their site, the disc wheels look interesting - their rim brake wheels appear a bit too heavy against the competition, cheaper but a fair bit heavier.

Any opinions on shorts/jerseys from Galibier? Bought socks/caps etc from them before & always been pleased. Looking around for a new jersey & bibs - quite fancy the Peloton jersey they do & their shorts seem to get overwhelmingly positive reviews...

It did! Had to wait on new tyres to complete the job. Conti G4000 on there as they are easier to install than the Pro One tubeless I had ready to go on. And given I'm doing a sportive on Sunday being able to install tyres with a mere hand job was preferable

Good job they were not tubeless with the associated sticky sealant.

Interested to hear what you make of these wheels.

I already have some 2nd hand handbuilt carbon 38s I bought from the classifieds here for £400, that are on my carbon synapse, which I think are a good chunk lighter than these, but I'm curious, and my alloy synapse would look very nice with a pair, but I will probably be good.

These are about 1650g. For about £600.

There are certainly cheaper ones out there, but it costs a bit (new) to go much lighter. Even the Fulcrum Quattro are a mere 50g lighter. Hunt quite a bit lighter, and a lot more.

They're on and I'll start with them on Sunday, perhaps tomorrow. 24 spokes and have cross lacing. None of that Fulcrum 2:1 stuff that others have noted might be a worry.
