Wearing them right now and the cat probably thinks I'm an owl.

I bet the cat thinks lots of things about you but certainly not 'owl'.

Just got them. No way am I sending them back. Wearing them right now and the cat probably thinks I'm an owl.

Wiggle, 90 quid with hard case and everything mun. White, so goes with my helmet.

They remind me of snow goggles, and as I have a pea head, would look ridiculous on me I fear - fair play if you can pull them off though 8)

I'm fine, I have a massive heid. They are strictly for cycling though. Anyone would look like a right knob wearing them otherwise.

Does anyone know about Madison brand padded lycra shorts?
I just saw a pair for £25 in one of my LBS and they seemed pretty good, thinking of going back and getting them tomorrow now the weather is warmer...

I do like the La Vie Claire top. I am tempted by the retro KAS bib shorts when they become available again at Prendas.
How about matching shorts Gazza? Santini insert - I like them.

Never too sure about wearing full kit to be honest. Was given the Euskaltel kit, but never wear the shorts. Suppose I could get away with the retroness of La Vie Claire. I already have the socks as well 8)

Now, if I could give out a lusso 20% code..

..then I'd 'only' have to drop £104 and I'd still be in trouble with Mrs Alex99

FFS its no wonder they all took drugs I'd want to forget that nightmare, reminds me of my wifes school photos

and no dear it was ONLY your school that ALL had that hair in the 80s, in the rest of the country we had 1 yes 1 stupid kid for 1 day

the 80s what a fecking shocking social experiment, lets not go back there
Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.
Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
Rule #42 // A bike race shall never be preceded with a swim and/or followed by a run.

I quite agree with you on the 80's but...

Cipo's first win was in 1989 and hist last 2005.

Without reading through the last 111 pages....what are the best bib shorts for around £50?

My go to Free Aero's are becoming transparent and have generally been disappointed in the quality of Castelli recently.

    That's a tricky one.

I'm going to emphasise the fact you said around :D

For me personally, and prices have likely changed, my bets buys were the La Passione (Classic?) shorts, but this was pre referendum, and with a discount code, and they weighed in at £60 a pop - so good (for me) I bought 4 pairs, 2 for stock.
Pretty much on a par comfort wise with Rapha shorts for my bum.

Next up would be some Etxeondo shorts - Orhi I think they were - these ended up at £70, but are also superb in pretty much everyway, the straps just dissapear they are thay comfy, despite being tight on me - by design.

You might also want to take a look at the Galibier range, think they have some for the low 50's, and the quality is superb - loads of reviews on there too.

Other that that, scour for discounts I guess - Castelli being ruled out will narrow your choices a fair bit.

Off the top of my head, I tried the Rivelo Honister bib shorts, at £50 a pair IIRC, and personally was not impressed on a number of fronts - though I know other people have liked them.

Prendas also often have some good offers on.

What size do you reckon you are after?

Medium in Castelli so possibly small in most others.

And yes, around meant I'm willing to go higher for the right short.

Have a look at Lusso - Google them for the best price and they can be had for under £50. IMHO just about the best bang for £ that I have ever found.

Not sure about the unisex cut.
I think I'd prefer tight shorts designed for men. If you know what I mean.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

    Enough down there already.
