Not sure about the unisex cut.
I think I'd prefer tight shorts designed for men. If you know what I mean.

Just stick a carrot down there Blakey, i'm sure it will look fine. I mean, what's the cost of a carrot?
    Enough down there already.
A unisex cut may suit your Action Man physique.

I see - the presumption is that unisex doesn't accommodate a beer bel..., sorry - paunch..

No. My presumption is based on the old analogy using hotels.
Like cheap hotels, all well and good, but they don't have any ballrooms.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

There will be. Indeed, just wandering round the house in them I've decided to get some Privateer or Code for commuting.

I love the design, but the branding spoils it for me. Have you seen the new Evo8 jerseys? They have similar designs without the branding. No matching gilet though.

Oh, and the Tiburu shorts are excellent. I have been using them for a couple of years and they are incredibly versatile, and the fit and comfort are amazing.

Not awfully keen on the Equipe but the Cento looks good. Uses the fabric from the Rally jersey, which is epic.

The branding is a bit annoying. Thankfully I can just ignore it but it will irk some no doubt. They really need to introduce a non branded version. Wore it today at zero and windy and it's epic.

I just wore bib shorts for the first time yesterday, is it normal for them to ride up and have to pull them back down again after getting off the bike? Or am I pulling them down too far and they are going up to the 'correct' position?

They come up this far or even a little further up after riding http://i.imgur.com/IVzdDjh.jpg
I pull them back down to just above the knee
I don't think they're too big because they feel fairly tight, they're gore bike wear power bib shorts in M
Sorry for my ignorance i've never actually worn bike-specific shorts/tights before

You will have to ask someone who has used the Gores as I don't know the design length.
Few shorts are designed to reach as low as just above the knee.

Sound too big to me. Mostly you 'pour yourself' into bibs and they rarely move.

Well, it's a matter of taste. I wear M in Santini shorts and they are just above the knee. I don't like them too high up and the grippers are good, so they don't rise up.

I prefer the Tinkoff approach there but, as long as they don't go behind my knee, all good.

Sorry I meant the SS grandprix jersey

No branding. No matching Gilet either though.

Ah, right. Yeah, I plan on doing a test on that one later in the year. Will probably get a couple of those.

I still like my Mille though, not cos it's Assos, and I'd prefer a colour co-ordinated back, but it's just so unfussy.

Hopefully Phil Duff will accede to me Q&A session in due course, but there's deffo a movement in Assos pricing.

The 'new' Tiburu (I'm reviewing the older one) is substantially cheaper.

I bought a pair of Lusso bib shorts last summer that are more like the Movistar pic above - nearly sent them back when I realised. Decided to try them out a bit & I'm so glad I did, for some reason I find it so much more comfortable.

Just goes to show - nowadays, I wear both Lusso and Santini bibs and they are both somewhere between Tinkoff and Movistar on my legs. As an aside, the Lussos are by far my faves for any kind of distance.

We have now set a bib short length standard: Movistar (long), Tinkoff (Middling) and Looy (Short).
I would have called it the 'Blakeney' but that would over inflate his ego so we'll call it 'Looy', as in Rik Van Looy.

No fear of inflating Van Looy's ego any further! Great rider, complete fanny.

Very pleased with my DHB aeron sofshell thus far. It was the perfect partner on today's ride (10 deg c, chilly ride). Make's me want to get some more DHB stuff. What are their bib shorts like?

Very good. Though it depends when you buy. At rrp there are other good options. Some are currently £56, which is excellent.

Lusso Aero 50 are sub £40 mind.
