Gosh. Absolutely lovely. Excellent fit. Really really comfy. And cheap.
DHB code 2 used on the above took both of them to £100. Really impressed.

Bloody hell, they turned up quick. My jacket is due for delivery today which should hopefully ease the burden I put on my alpha jersey! Couple of good reviews for the jacket on wiggle as well.0 -
I'd say that the Softshell won't be quite as warm as an Alpha Jacket overall. It lacks dual layer sleeves, for a start. But I do think it will still be very warm and very weatherproof. Lots of nice details. Reminds me a bit of something like the Castelli MortiroloMy blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Nice one. As per our other thread I was really impressed with both - however the Mrs pointed out that the orange and black softshell makes me look like a scuba diver. Tisk...what does she know!0

DHB stuff is great. I'm always impressed.0

I won one of their Windslam/windbreak jerseys last year - I prefer it to my assos/rapha tops.
Fantastic piece of kit.0 -
And, to add, it has a proper softshell back, like the Alpha, rather than a jersey materialMy blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Might just wait in case wiggle do some sort of black friday deal.....0 -

how well does the Windslam Gilet fold down?0

So tempted to buy the softshell, even though I have a Capo one in the cupboard that I bought in the summer sales and haven't even worn yet. DHB has always been pretty good value for money in my eyes but it looks like they're stepping it up a level.0

I was trying to think what the roubaix jersey felt like, overall. And then I realised that the nearest thing I've worn to it is the Assos Tiburu jersey. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Dunno yet. I will let you know. Just reading the reviews and I note it has slots on either back side so that you can reach into your jersey pockets. Nice feature. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Frustratingly my jacket hasn't arrived even though the tracking info has said ready for delivery since 0500.
So I'll just have to make sure I'm home before the wench tomorrow!
Once I've confirmed the size is ok I'm going to order the matching jersey and gilet, the reviews look really good and the code ( DHB2 ) gets them both for just over £60. I've checked with wiggle and the code works until 16th Dec.0 -
Wiggle 1 takes £15 off a basket over £100 as well. So, if you're purchase of DHB was not over £80 but your basket was, that's an alternative. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Very interested in this thread. I have had the Aeron shorts in the past and other DHB stuff which has always been class. Benders advice re the gabba and alpha were spot on, so very tempted to place an order for some of the DHB Aeron tops.0

Disappointed!, just tried the DHB2 code and it seems to have expired....Mason Bokeh

That's annoying. I've tweeted them as that was supposed to last until mid December.
There's a £15 off code on the main website if you're spending £100.My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Thanks, how do you think the softshell will compare to a Sportful Fiandre Light No Rain jacket? I love my fiandre jacket but its black and I was looking for something brighter for the winterMason Bokeh

It will be considerably warmer.
As to waterproofing, it's windtex. So it will hold out for ages. No taped seams, so water will eventually get in. Stuck my arm in the shower last night mind. The DWR coating is amazing. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

wiggle customer services have told me that the info last night about the code running until Dec was a typo and new deals are in place. I've pointed I would have ordered some more kit last night if I'd have known. It's now with a supervisor to see if they'll honour the deal for me.0
