Good spot. I suspect that the windslam is also windtex. In the aeron softshell it actually is. The only issue with that ASV is colour matching. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

My wife thinks I'm colour blind. I think I'm just immune to the whims of fashion (and style)0

I spent quite a lot of time going back and forward to Sweden*. When I first went, Guinness in the Limmmerick (Drottningatan, Stockholm) was 45 kr when kr was 8 to the pound. When I was last there, 13.5 kr to the pound. Made a hell of a difference getting drunk. Proper Dublin Guinness too! I live 23 miles form Ireland and can't get a pint of Dublin Guinness for love nor money.

We seem to be back where the thread began. The gillet for the aeron jersey is http://www.wiggle.co.uk/dhb-aeron-lightweight-windslam-gilet/
It has slits that give access to the jersey pockets, so any creature you are carrying gets the benefit of the gillet too!0 -
I was quite brief back then!

This is actually the matching jersey: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/dhb-asv-race-ro ... ve-jersey/
Shame - they do the jersey in a red but not the gilet...0 -
I got the aeron roubaix jersey and lightweight gillet combo based on the recommendations here, and the combo is superb. The gillet is small enough to fit in the jersey pocket, and when it's on protects the jersey pocket's contents , stoat or phone.0

As long as you don't wear it with the face facing inwards, I'll forgive you.0

That's terrible news Bender. When you start thinking about wearing those swim trunk/padded short combo thingy's, book yourself an appt. with the Doc.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -
How are people with the Aldi Nebula knock off finding the battery life?
I'm having loads of problems with my rear one, getting about an hour on the minimum flashing brightness before it goes kaput, and have had a few mornings now to turn it on and its' dead when the previous night it was working well ( having checked it's been turned off) but the mornings are quite a bit colder.
Definitely seems "wrong", thinking of a return as a dead light.
PS -none of my lights had any charge at all when new from the store, which surprised me - any lithium rechargeable batteries normally have a "holding" charge.Intent on Cycling Commuting on a budget, but keep on breaking/crashing/finding nice stuff to buy.

I'm nails. I'll probably swim in a pair of running shorts and a cotton t shirt then ride in trainers. Adidas Samba or somethingMy blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Gonna have to check mine now. Have a proper, original Nebula from last year and bought the Aldi one as a backup. It would have sat in the box for a while until I read this - will check it now!0

Because of this thread I am giving mine it's first charge since buying on 29/09 and using the rear daily for 45 minutes on the 8 days since fitting it. Without this topic I would have forgotten to give it a charge tonight.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0 -

Wow, that's not bad - what setting is that on?
Now onto it's 6th charge, I normally run the lowest flashing for an hour a day, so if x-refing a nebula should be 20 hours 40 mins, which I'm definitely not getting, but the life is definitely getting better with use.

I don't know if it's my charger ( a 5 port Philips 2A thing) related or not.Intent on Cycling Commuting on a budget, but keep on breaking/crashing/finding nice stuff to buy.

CRC are having a big sale. What's the low down on this Castelli Poggio? If I remember correctly, you reviewed it one here but it's a long thread...

On the lowest setting 99% of the time, apart from when I first got it and turned it on and put it on the highest setting then looked at it :shock:I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0 -
I have some Castelli nanoflex knee warmers, that seemed to bead water the first couple of times it rained and then gave up. Then I have several pairs of arm warmers, all of which seem to have either gone into holes or had the grippers come adrift on them.
Considering getting a set of dhb Aeron Rain Defence arm and knee warmers. Anyone have any thoughts on them? Do they continue to bead rain as they get older?0
