Without wanting to be an arse, is there any real point to reviewing Aldi/Lidl special buys?

In a week or 2 they'll be sold out (winter gloves are already store only) - or can you source these brands from elsewhere?

That's why I've done it now. It depends on what your store is like. Ours still has loads of each product reviewed, some none. But it's a prod, if you do have stock, to go and have a look.

Mine (Cambridge) were sold out hours after they went on sale. May be you will be luckier in parts of the UK were cycling is not so popular.

Yeah, it's very regional. That said, it's very popular here but as at Sunday they had 50 pairs of the lights left. (or thereabouts). Ditto the gloves.

Have you done a review on the Tenn £7 jacket BTR? It's that cheap, I could buy it and you try the thing out and then i'll either offer it to you cheap or you can send it back to me.

but then you often just get ebay scalpers instead as the times Ive been to check the stores, the people routing through the stuff as if they are looking for the winning lottery ticket, arent buying for their own personal use.

Ill see, call in on the way home tomorrow, they do sound useful and could do with a replacement pair

I've used aldi gloves for the last few years. They've been perfect. They change slightly from year to year but well worth a go.

Goes live tomorrow. They've got the aesthetic down well this year IMO. Knicks look particularly nice. I am due some stuff, don't like to ask specifically, I get what I'm given.

Thanks for the gloves review Bender. My wife managed to pick me up a pair each of the Aldi winter and lobster gloves on the way home from work today. I checked at the Aldi near where I work at lunch today, but they must have sold out as there was no sign of gloves anywhere.

I've put in a request. If it performs as promises then it could be a good one. Generally high (ish) priced dhb really does compete with the stuff that's twice the price. I don't see it as a Gore One competitor, but it might be a Tempesta/Hardshell beater etc.

Weather is getting closer to wearing the short sleeve Mossa that I got cheap in the Spring but have yet to wear. Think I need to try it out and see how good it is.

Yeah, I would only really go black for the bottom half, but for the tops, my colour choices would be red, blue, yellow, orange, green, white and then last of all black. There would need to be a seriously compelling reason why I couldnt do without a bit of kit to make me buy black...

Yeah, dunno. Might be the only colour available in that material, like Gore with the One. But I doubt it. I'd expect other colours to follow. I don't really get why everyone doesn't just make a red one, everyone loves red. Except Dan B of course

I actually asked Wiggle the question of whether they plan to do any other colourschemes and they allowed the question yesterday and then today told me they'd deleted it ? Don't know why - I wasn't offensive or anything.

(and I see the womens jacket is a different colour anyway !)


I'm not buying a black rainjacket for crappy weather.
