    Doesn't help that their dealers don't appear to have websites, and there is no way I'm going 120+ miles round trip for a look.

    Ah, that's great, thanks very much.
  • Anyone know if the Parentini Mossa 2 comes in any colour other than black? And if so, where can I order it from? Have a Gabba, thinking of getting this for colder rides.

    They do an orange and a lime version as well. Bit thin on the ground at the moment but any of the UK dealers should be able to source one.

    Grazie

    Shame they have so few stockists, am sure they'd sell a lot more if they were more available around the country

    On the subject or arm warmers, any recommendations for some really warm ones? I've got a light-middling pair but fancy something from when the mercury approaches zero.

    Arms warmers for near-freezing temperatures - seriously? Have a think about a winter jacket instead...

    I just want something a bit warmer than the ones I already have - I don't think it's an unreasonable assumption that some are warmer than others. It's the ones at the warmer end of the spectrum I'm interested in.

    Gore softshell arms?

    These are nice and toassty warm and pretty cheap at £11.20:

    Or if you want the exact same product with a different name on it, you can get it from here for £5, but they seem to carry less sizes:

    Ha, ok typical PX, they were £5, they are now £8!

    Maybe try the ones from Wiggle, as they have free returns, and then make a decisions based on that.

    What he said, arm warmers are ok but I wouldn't use it for anything under 7 or 8 degrees personally.

    I'm guessing there are a few out there with short sleeve jackets for their versatility.
    If it is cold enough for a gillet then it is cold enough for a full jacket. IMO.
    The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
    I am not sure. You have no chance.

    you don't have to worry I don't think he was buying them for you

    I like arm warmers this time of year .... wear them at 7am in the morning on the way to work and down hill ..... in the evening its 10deg warmer and uphill and I can cycle home with bare arms.

    the alternative is

    (1) be cold on the way to work
    (2) wear a jacket and have to carry it home
    (3) wear a long sleeved top ... and sweat on the way home

  • Agreed, have been looking at that myself. Wonder down to what temp it is good for.

    It's interesting. The Winter Jersey has a windproof front only but, of course, is thicker merino. This should work very similarly. Indeed, it's virtually a merino Rapha pro team in same ways. I reckon, because of the arms, it could be good down to some very low temps indeed.

    I didn't say he was ... did I?

    Your examples are all well and good but do not describe his circumstances, he wants them for when it is very cold in the winter, not now, which IMO is the right temperature range for arm warmers. I do not know of any arm warmers that go that cold and I think at that temperature you should be looking at a jacket of some description.

    I do not think that arm warmer temperature range goes as low as zero or close to. I have some DeFeet ones which work well in mornings like today but any colder and I will be reaching for my autumn tops.

    looks warm to me.
  • Does. The winter jersey is very warm, perhaps too much on occasion. I know that the Brevet PLUS Gilet is a warm option that can go down a long way. So this one is potentially genius.

    I get supplied mine for review. The site is a mix of that, some supplied, some bought. The latter far outweigh the former now. (sadly!)

    I've spoken to them about this issue in the past and it is being addressed. What one are you after specifically, let me have a word......

  • I've been considering the Rapha Winter Jersey but now there's the LS Windproof Brevet I'm just not sure which would be best... and then this comes along to make the decision even tougher;

    Yep. I've been toying with their new LS merino for the past week or so. And then that. Then the Rapha came along in my case.

    The only thing that stopped me going with that one is patience. Oh and exchange rate. If it shows up at Wiggle at £120 then I can get it next day etc.

    They do this as well,http://www.wiggle.co.uk/isadore-thermerino-long-sleeve-jersey/

  • I was eyeing up that one last year but ended up breaking my back and neck so I didn't cycle through the winter, it's very tempting to hang on for the Wiggle 17% specials especially if they do end up stocking the Etherea.

    Thanks !!!!

    I'm looking at the Mossa 2, in Orange (still need to figure out what size). Seems to be exactly what I want for cold commutes and training rides, with rain protection thrown in as an added bonus.

    Their dealer network seems really patchy. Nothing in London, the west of the country seems without one too. I fully understand their desire to not have hundreds of stockists but their geographic spread hasn't been particularly thought through.

    Is the Parentini Mossa Fashion out yet? http://www.parentini.com/en/343/798/win ... sa-fashion

    Saw this months and months ago and its on my list to buy if I can work out where to get it from and sizing but it still doesnt seem to have been released. Shame as we are getting to the time of year when I would be thinking about buying one.
  • I've asked some questions. Hopefully I can get a fashion to review and comment on and also following up on e-commerce generally. I know they were planning bigger things when their new site went live (as it has now).

    That would be great because I think we are a similar size so would help me to work out what size I should get!

    Height = 5 ft 10.5 inches (179cm)
    Chest 39 inches (100cm)
    Weight = 75/76kg

    Annoyingly,I have a convertible Gabba in Large but have Castelli medium jerseys so seem to fit behind Castelli's sizing, so hopefully that isn't an issue with Parentini.

    Really appreciate your help.

    Try getting in touch with Iain Grant at Target Coaching or the guys at Cycle Art in Prudhoe – I know they have posted out Parentini items to people in the past
