Cavendish to MTN is an option. He would need his own sponsor though and Smith would need to see what EBH thinks of it.
The rumours are true. I know Mark, and the rumours are true. We have been contacted by his manager, and it makes good sense. Where will Cavendish go? Maybe BMC, maybe Trek, but I don't think Mark just wants to be on a new team. I think he wants to be more involved in his next team. He sees our team as a team on the way up, Smith tells.
I told Cavendish and co. "if you want to come to our team, bring a sponsor". And it's completly possible. We can't afford him at the moment, but we obviously want him. He would be a great addition to our team. Triumphs are triumphs, and Cav signing would give us more exposure. So to sign him would be perfect for us.
But we have to see how he fits in with the other riders we have at the moment and how it fits for Edvald(Boasson Hagen). I won't sign him if it ruins for some riders, but we have the possibility to sign Cavendish to our team, he says, and expands:
It has to fit well for people like Edvald. But I think Mark and Edvald would have different calendars. Edvald is more of a classic rider. He could lead out Mark, but we would anyways give Mark a lead out train that suits him and give Edvald chances on different stages instead.
Edvalds role in the team will hopefully get bigger and bigger. He was at Sky for 5 years and is now on a new team. He is still getting to know his teammates. I will talk to Edvald and hear with him what type of ryders would fit with him. He would be someone I will talk to before we sign new riders.
I like Mark. I've known him for a long time and I lived on Isle of Man for 11 years. He got his first carbon tiers from me when I was a pro, and I like him as a person. He is a nice lad, but I also think Edvald is great. I have got to know Edvald seriously the last two years, and he is a great guy.

Personally I don't think MTN isa good move for Cav... Unless, as the article says, it would be with a view of that slow transition from rider to being more involved in the background of a team... If MTN can offer him that then maybe he would consider that... :?:
Still think his No.1 option is to remain at EQS, if the offer on the table suits him... less upheaval, knows the team and has people around him that he knows can do a job for him...0 -

No way on earth would Cav settle for EBH as lead out man. His sense of positioning in the finale ain't renowned0 -
Oleg talking as he does on twitter says some things about Europcar. Then quiet Voeckler gives him a piece of his mind:

Very good for Mullen. He can look at Davide Formolo for inspiration when it comes to taking advantage of opportunities0 -
An old skool Garmin signing. They need to get their identity back.
Any more news if Dan Martin is staying?0 -

Nothing definite that's out there.
Problem is they have 3 leaders who are just not reliable in terms of scoring the wins. When Dan wins, he wins big. But...it aint often. Same with Hesjedal. And Talansky is on the temperamental side. And not helped by his missus being very angsty to move back to the US from Spain (so word has it)0 -

They should sign Cavendish, he'd guarantee them wins, taking the pressure off the flakes.0 -

I don't think he was willing to take that much of a pay cut!"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Apologies if this has appeared before -
"Wiggle Honda Pro Cycling is both delighted and excited to announce that Emma Johansson has signed a two-year contract with the black and orange team, which will cover the 2016 and 2017 seasons. The 31-year-old from Sollefteå, Sweden, is a 12-time National Champion, and currently holds the blue and yellow cross jersey in both Road Race and Time Trial. In addition to her national titles, 2015 has seen Johansson take victory in the Spanish one-day Durango-Durango race, as well as her third overall title in the Thüringen Rundfahrt stage race in Germany."0 -

Cavendish £3m

Dan Martin £1.4m
Top Classic winners £1.4m to £1.75m.Contador is the Greatest0 -
Dan Martin is paid monumentally* for what he brings.
But then I guess points mean prizes.
