Weening's career - RIP.
He was THE talent back in the early '00s.
I thought he'd retired a couple of years ago to be honest.Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.0 -

Hey, the ween-dog has proved very entertaining in the backstage pass... what more do you want?
As an aside, Roompot have been a bit of a damp squib this season eh?0 -
Cav to OGE“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0

I'm not buying that. Simon Clarke was saying their two focuses for the next few years are GC with the Yatesereseses and support riders for Matthews/Ewan."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Tom is in full "one more year" mode. Expect him to go for 5 years, or until him falling off isn't the top story on the evening news. Gilbert, agree. He's the only Walloon of note at the moment.
There's some good riders coming through in Belgium though. Ward Theuns looks a good cobbles bet, Thiesj Benoot can ride the Ardennes and the cobbles, Tim Wellens, Sean de Bie etc too (it's weird none of them ride for QS though!)"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Uh huh, but I was replying to a comment that said it was RIP to his career as a result of signing for Rompoot. I was simply pointing out that he's been on that path for a good few years - and at 34 it's not likely to change.Team My Man 2018: David gaudu, Pierre Latour, Romain Bardet, Thibaut pinot, Alexandre Geniez, Florian Senechal, Warren Barguil, Benoit Cosnefroy0 -

Neither am I a buyer. Cav isnt about to start leading out Ewan - and tbh there's already huffing and puffing going on about who's going to be left in a train for Ewan as they're letting Blythe go, and rumour has it that the likes of Leigh Howard arent getting new contracts0 -

Hire car for a week's hols with Peta and the sprogs?0 -
Put me down as another not buying Cav to OGE.
Trek maybe.Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.0 -
I don't see why Cav wouldn't work at Orica. He can be part of a TTT. Ewan can learn from him and get plenty of his own chances. Cav would be main man at 2 of the GTs and could work with Matthews who could lead out on flat stages and have his own chances on the hiller sprints.
I think that would work really well.0 -

Got to be more likely than him signing for the team that doesn't yet have a sponsor. But still the rumour exists. It's as if the internet has developed a consciousness and is actively trolling the real world.

Dan Martin will not re sign with Garmindale and is considering offers from QS and Trek. Sky apparently interested but he turned that down to save his coveted FF "My Man" status."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Turned down Sky. Definitely will not be dropped from my list for 2015. They didn't want him before as he didn't learn his trade in an easy, scientific, air-conditioned environment but they want him now after he has shown how wrong they were again.
Really pleased he will leave that rubbish team. He has given them far more then they have given him.Contador is the Greatest0 -

it should be a condition of whichever contract he signs that he spends 1% of his earnings on a trip (or more likely many trips) to a dentist0 -

Brailsford never offered him a contract in 2010 AFAIK. Are you getting confused with the Academy when he was a sprog?0 -

Yes, correct, Dan Martin paved his way on the macadam of France. He was a black sheep for the BC clean cut boys. Of which there are a few as you know, who have ripped it up on the road scene.

Probably easier to reject a life on the track when your uncle is Stephen Roche and can get you into VC La Pomme though. I know where I'd rather learn my trade"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"
