    Early for silly season!

Might be a decent move for PK, I'll have a chat with his agent

Sky need a guy like Kristoff badly don't they. He even fits their sterile personality. I guess Wiggins departure frees up a good amount of money.

PK to BMC sounds like an interesting move although I dont rate BMC.

Kwiatek to Sky - cannot see this happen. OPQS will hang on as hard as they can and Kwiatek does not strike me as a Sky man by any means. 100% his career goes downhill if he joins them and I am sure he can see that. He would also probably fall off my list.

As someone a bit put off by sky's tactics over the past few years and only just beginning to like them now they're thinking a bit more about the classics, i think it would be great for them to get some real classics specialists. Kristoff might not be everyone s preferrence for a classics rider but he certainly has come of age over the past two years and this season's form looks v good for the next couple of seasons. Kwiat less so. He's fantastic at the moment but they're probably try to turn him into a GT winner. Anyway, would be great to see sky build a proper cycling team....

Didn't realise Kristoff was ex Bmc.... Why'd they let him go?
  • Lefevre really wants Degenkolb doesn't he?

Well his results were pretty average back then. Definitely good, but not special. They also maybe didn't want another rider like Thor (the year he joined Kristoff left) or Kristoff saw Thor's signing as overshadowing his career (rightly so). 2/3 of Thor's years at BMC were totally rubbish which goes to show what a bad move BMC made (but that shouldn't surprise anyone).

Kwia seems be strong in all areas and should be a GC contender in the very near future. You do have to wonder if Ettix have the ambitions/team to build around him at the expense of their classics squad - can see why he has been linked to a move away. However would he really want to play second fiddle to Froome for the next few years?

And why back anyone else when he's got Rigo Uran

Isn't Cav's contract up this year as well?

I remain convinced that Kwiatkowski should be a classics man and ditch any GT ambitions.

Genuinely think he could win all 5 monuments.

    Nah.

Way too soon to be saying that, and I don't think we'll ever see a rider win all 5 again.

You're almost certainly right but he has the weapons, on paper, as well as the tactical nous. Nevertheless, Lefevere is wise to steer him away from GT ambitions IMO.

I really hope Kristoff doesn't move to Sky as it would affect the chances of my men Rowe and G to ride for themselves. Then again, maybe it would help if they got in breaks as no-one will want to chase and tow Kristoff with them :? I guess he fends reasonably well for himself and doesn't need a train. Can't see Kwiatowski and Kristoff both going there though.

Kristoff to Sky doesn't make any sense. But a decent agent with a big star doesn't go into negotiations without creating some rumours about big team interest elsewhere.

Kristoff re-signs with Katusha apparently. No move to Sky.

    Pfft, talk is cheap.

Though probably not so much for Lefevre.
