If he is, the boy has nerves of steel!"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

They say they are hoping to move to World Tour. They haven't announced the budget or the time scale so it's hard to say if that sounds likely.0 -

All the reports I've read talk of a reduced budget, so I expect PC. J-RB definitely filed his papers to apply for WT but that was when he still had 4 sponsors on the line.Team My Man 2018: David gaudu, Pierre Latour, Romain Bardet, Thibaut pinot, Alexandre Geniez, Florian Senechal, Warren Barguil, Benoit Cosnefroy0 -
@mrconde: Finally official. Landa joins @TeamSky. "I've proven I can win a GT. I need a team around me. Sky offered me that". http://t.co/KvOqnCRzAC

Just read the article. Cocky little Spaniard is this Mr Eyebrows. Thinks he can win a GT...well he has not shown that at all yet so it might be true later but spouting off now is unbecoming. Coming from nowhere with a mediocre palmares...worrisome. Putting in a few good attacks in the mountains is nothing compared to winning a GT. Not been given leadership, well that is because Nibali has won 3 GTs and Aru's GT palmares makes Little Landa's look like the British teams at the TofB trying to stay with the big boys. Astana came into the Vuelta with no outright leader...Nibali was unfortunately ejected from the race and Landa failed of his own accord so had to work for Aru. Spain has a nine man squad for the Worlds...and monsieur sourcil is not on it. Strongly dislike people with ego's such as his. I mean I know he has a big head but stick a carrot in the trap. I hope he gets destroyed at the Giro like Wiggins. Nothing like the strato di macadam al catrame of Italy to bring a rider back to reality.Contador is the Greatest0 -

A lot of people here accused him of being dirty during the Giro this year. I wonder if that will all be forgotten once he is in the Sky colours
Oh, and Cataldo, Rosa and Tiralongo have extented with Astana.0 -
Fairly big risk for Cav going to the track now isn't it?
I guess the competition isn't so fierce.......0 -
Lines drawn for Landa vs Aru for Vuelta 2016 then?0

If he wants gold, the competition in the Omnium will be very fierce. The Wonderkind, his own current-but-not-for-much-longer team mate Gaviria is the current world champ - he, Viviani and O'Shea, will be very tough to beat. But first he's got to prove to BC that he's a better bet for a medal than Clancy, who's a world champ at this event - and he's got to put in some hard yards to train with the TP squad.
There are no easy Olympic medals on the track0 -

Breschel to Cannondale-GarminNapoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.0

That should be a good move for both parties, although it might be another Nick Nuyens.0

Has Breschel also got a supermarket to run in 2016? Tweets suggest its only a one year deal?0 -
And have we done Craddock to Garmindale? Seems a shame for Dumoulin given that Craddock was often all he left...0

Be interesting to see what happens with G-A in the hiring market for 2016. Dumoulin's performance at the Vuelta was such a surprise, I cant see that they had a shopping list for climbing domestiques all rustled up. Also dont know about budgets etc - the best climbing domestiques dont come cheap.
I suspect Tom D will be moving on once his current contract is up, anyway. Same with Barguil.0 -

Same with Barguil.
I get the impression he might be quite happy riding on a foreign team and doing his own thing. Doesn't sound like he has the appetite for a genuine tilt at a GC win, so perhaps hilly classics and doing what he can on GC in July sans mountain train might be what he wants.
edit: Agree Tom D will probs be moving on. Though that might also depend on what happens with Kittel. - not sure he's as happy as the proverbial messy pig right now.Team My Man 2018: David gaudu, Pierre Latour, Romain Bardet, Thibaut pinot, Alexandre Geniez, Florian Senechal, Warren Barguil, Benoit Cosnefroy0 -
^yeah. Could be a bit of an issue going on within G-A at the moment.0
