I've a pair of Schwalbe Pro One 25c if anyone's interested. Tubeless. One of them was slightly proud when used with tubes, so haven't really used it. Should be fine without tubes. Absolutely as new otherwise. No need at the moment as too many tyres. £30 the pair if anyone wants them.My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Have just posted this elsewhere and hope not too off topic here too.
Thinking of replacing my Campag Neutron clinchers with Conti 4000s 25s and going tubeless for upcoming week in Picos de Europa.
I tried road tubeless a few years back and liked the feeling of security at not risking pinch flats .... or blowouts on long descents. (I have experienced former and, although clearly rare, have witnessed latter - not nice!)
DT Swiss PR 1400 Dicut Oxic with Schwalbe One Pros have been suggested. Not cheap, but tempted... Anyone with any experience?0 -
Anyone else experience problems with Hutchinson Sector 32 sidewalls?
I have 2160km on these tyres and now they are showing long cracks on the sidewalls.
I have have never over inflated the tire and have never ridden with low pressure. Tubeless setup. Typically using 4-5 bar with 80kg rider weight.
I ride all kinds of roads but I thought they would have lasted longer.

It's not a crack, I would not worry about that.
I have used 8 Hutch Sector and never had any issue with themleft the forum March 20230 -

To me it looks like the tyre tread is starting to peel from the carcass. The "crack" expands when more pressure is added to the tyre.
Already ordered the 28 version as a replacement (it was cheaper).
Otherwise I think the Sectors are great. Zero flats with them even when riding stuff like shown below.

Not a lot... 4000 km or thereabout before they start weeping latex from all the cuts and need daily inflationleft the forum March 20230

Interested if you still have them. I can't PM for whatever reason but I can reply if you PM me.0 -

Bender, those tyres still available? If so I will take them.0

Patched up my Sectors and put a 28 on the front.
Here is a side by side photo if anyone is wondering how different they are:

where does all the sealant go ? I had a small cut which should have sealed with sealant yet it seems to have completely disappeared after 2 months. this is supposed to be Endurance stuff too .... (Orange Endurance)...Ridley Fenix SL0

Just fitted tyres on Mavic OP and seem to be OK,just one question before I add sealant when I pump the tyres air escapes around the valve ,will the sealant cure this? First time with tubeless so I might be a bit paranoid.0

It should, unless it is a blast of air, which is indicative of some problem with the valve itselfleft the forum March 20230 -
Thanks Ugo,no it's only a slight drizzle, the tyres seem ok on the rim.0

I usually add an extra wrap of tape around the valve area, and make sure the valve is properly properly seated. The sealant will seal it but you want the sealant for punctures really so top it up.I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles0 -
Thanks for the replies. Put in sealant tonight so just going to wait till morning to see if they stayed up.0

Chain Reaction have Hutchinson Fusion 5 Performance 25s for £29.99.
Are these any good?
I'm running Schwalbe Pro One Evo 23s on my good bike and Hutchinson Intensive 2 25mm (but more like 22mm) on the winter bike. If not the Fusion 5s, what should I be considering for my next purchase? I have limited clearance on my good bike so it's got to be a real 25mm or less to fit. I like the look of the IRC tyres but I'm not sure which type and if the 25 is a true 25 on a wide rim. I don't mind a bit of extra weight and protection on the winter bike tyres, but I'd like to keep the good bike tyres light and fast.
BTW, this works very nicely as a cheap tubeless inflation device. Just need to replace the spray wand with a piece of plastic hose.0 -

I've just fitted a set of Maxxis Padrone tyres, very easy to get onto Kinlin rims and first impressions are very good, not sure how robust they'll be but time will tell.Look 566

true... I got them at the time for 50 quid a pair, which was a very good deal... they are better than the hutch which come at 30 thoughleft the forum March 20230 -
yes the roadlites are big. on my 19mm internal width rims they are 27.5mm wide. I forget the height but under the fork crown in the look there is not much room. The Formual pro tyres are the claimed size on wide rims.
Stated tyre width is a bit of lie. bead to bead distance should be stated as this is a better guide.
Maybe we need a table of bead to bead distances of various tyres and actual width on rims.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0 -
