Should be an interesting game. As Stevo knows, his beloved Boro (or is it Chelsea) have struggled against the top sides this season.
At the rate you're going, you're going to be struggling against a few top sides next season. I may have to pop down to The Bridge next season to sing you a song

You may well, not confident for the remaining matches. Still, it's been a good season for us after the debacle of the last few years.

Don't remember that actually - but good to hear you're a man of taste. At least you're not a Goo-ner

Well a poor start (poor first half to be fair) cost us dearly. Came back in the second half and sounded like Boro were doing what they could to waste time in last 15-20 mins, but we still couldn't break them down again. Need a convincing win against Ipswich on Saturday and then we can still do it.

I feared a lot worse, especially going 2-0 down after 11 minutes.

True, although only 3 games left. The top 3 (your lot, Norwich and my lot) are at least now mathematically guaranteed a play off spot whatever happens.

Our next match is Norwich away - that's a biggie.

Any predictions for the drop? Anyone disagree that the current three won't be going down?

My real problem will be next season if Boro get promoted...

  • Whoever wins between boro and Norwich is going up. Simple as that. Really don't need the play off lottery.

Not necessarily after Watford's win last night - we're 4th again.

Not really, your problem started however long ago it was that you lost your credibility by deciding in a Lovejoyeque manner that it was somehow right to support two football clubs.

Nobody ever said that's against the rules, although you're mixing me up with someone who gives a t0ss.

Good look with qualifying for the Europa

It's good to have some glory to chase. I suppose if you class glory as visiting Bulgaria on a wet Thursday night in November, you can chase some too :)

The big one on Friday night.
Boro vs Norwich. A draw would be ideal. Thank you.

While Norwich is a great acronym, I hope we thrash the barstewards.

There a few season ticket holders here at work, suffice to say they are a bit tense today. I shall be going down the local to watch it, first game I'm making the effort to watch properly in ages, it should be very busy and a good way to start the weekend.

We're top of the league...the pressure is on Geriatric Town Rovers and Elton John FC tomorrow.

Fair play to boro. I've heard City fans going on for a while now about how good they are under Neil but any team that starts such an important match so poorly deserves to get beat. Even more so when they couldn't take advantage of the fact the oppostion were clearly too stubborn to take an injured player off for over three quarters of the game.

The Cherries last home game. As you can see, quite well supported.

Did you know that Aston Villa vs Bournemouth in 1972 set the record attendance for a 3rd tier match at 48,000. Until Sheff Weds/Utd met sometime later.
