Some of you make it sound like he’s Donald Trump. He tunes cars for a living and uses the lowest spec Felt AR on a turbo.

You'll be telling me he works for KwikFit next :D

Seriously though this guy's posts are riddled with continuous and repeated references, pictures and examples of a lifestyle and financial status I (and many others) can only dream of and yet he appears to be continually surprised that he gets a negative reaction - that's mental.

PS - Donald Trump wouldn't post on here, he would buy the site and replace it with a virtual golf course.

PPS - If cycling is the new golf for MAMILS maybe VTech is Donald Trump fighting back?

How can a guy win, one day my bike is too expensive so you tear into me, the next it's the cheapest in the range and you tear into me.
I've no problem with that, it's just weird.
You will have to excuse me though as I won't be on as much in the next few days. I'm getting ready to actually start doing some work.

V-Tech - I've yet to read a thread of yours where you're not boasting (directly or in-directly) about your high powered, high-income, jet set life style a la "..just waiting in Geneva airport and thought I'd reply to the inner tube thread'.

Bet you're the life and soul of the party though.

Your Felt is expensive for the type of riding you do i.e. not very much at all, but compared to some of the bikes owned by folk on here it’s pretty cheap.

I’m afraid I’m not very impressed by your new toys and even less impressed by your forum etiquette, but hey, keep digging your big hole – if anything it’s entertaining.

You make it sound like the forum is a single entity in its own right. It isn't - it's a load of different people interpreting your posts in different ways. There is nothing wierd about that.

Yes - and the argument is about whether Vtech is able to get Lafite at prices far below the en primeur price because he buys what he calls 'futures' and pays in advance. He said he already owned Napa for 2015 - I pointed out that, as far as I know, it doesn't work like for the best French vineyards.

For anyone interested Napa Valley is a lovely part of California. Was lucky enough to go there a few years ago. And had a great day doing all the wine tasting at the different wineries. It was even better as I wasn't designated driver!

Unfortunately I didn't know to pre-order my 2015 wine when I was there!

Come on, not another one joining the posse :)
I never said napa was in france, its quite laughable really.
I have a "rough" idea where napa is, not much of a clue but I could get within 5000km on a map !

Calm down fella! I was just merely commenting that Napa Valley is a lovely place! And I believe you are correct in that you can pre-order future vintages. My comment about not pre-ordering my 2015 wine was a flippant remark hence the ! At the end of it.

And for the record, I find some of the comments and bullying directed at you on here pretty uncomfortable reading.

I have read them, and it doesnt change the fact that a few people have changed many things I have said to turn them into money issues, remember, whilst you play your games, people are still able to read that my initial statements were about how costly this game is, not how much I can spend.
Im not so fussed as im a grown lad and can take it with the best of them, ive grown up in a much tougher environment than this forum but I do wish some of you guys would put your anger to better use and further yourself' in a manor that would give more to society.

Then you'll notice my comment was directed towards 'ooermissus' and not you. So whilst you may have read it, you clearly didn't take note of its contents.

VTech - how do you manage to spend so much time posting on here? What with your constant round the world business trips, amazing wife, luxury abode, demanding (not to mention technically challenging and highly skilled) job, wine buying, garage full of barely used cars (or should that be 'marques'?).

You really are a marvel. I doff my cap to you sir. Do you need a handyman?

The guy who started this thread is an absolute prat. He gets called out for his lack of knowledge of wine investment and then slowly tries to change his tune to suggest he was saying the same thing as his knowledgeable detractors all along. He seems to think his cr@p smells better than most people and that he is some great success because he has a higher than average income. Who cares, he still has no class to go along with that money unfortunately.

Wind your neck in pal, most of us are not interested in your patronising self importance. And keep your 'advice' to yourself unless someone asks for it.

This thread is hilarious, VTech, I'm glad you're doing well, good luck to you, at this point I think people are trolling you more because it's funny than because they really care about your success and materialistic nature.

As for wine, it's for drinking, in great quantities. If I had invested in a bottle of wine that was worth £50k I would drink it because I would never again have the oportunity to drink a bottle of wine worth two years salary, but that's just me.

the answer to the question posed in the thread title is clearly 'no' as no-one is talking about wine, just the value that someone else would purchase it from you... I'm out
