I think they're a similar size to the genesis ones, it'd be niice to be sure though. I'll send them an email at somepoint.0 -
Any thoughts on the pic Genesis have released on Facebook of the ti Equilibrium?
Mine are that it looks a little underwhelming when compared to other ti makers' frames at a similar price (around £1.5K for frameset, I believe). If you're going to spend that kind of money then you expect pure class aesthetically.
I'll be really interested to see these 953 Equilibriums, but I wonder if part of the charm of the bike is that it's cheap. I'd probably want the bespoke touch of somewhere like Roberts if I was going for such exclusive steel.0 -

Found this while scowling the web - the 2013 equilibriums are in amongst this album.
Looks like white for the 00
Gold/Orange for the 20 which is also the new frameset colour - nice to see a new colourway
Couldn't spot the 10 tho
The volant looks really nice tho, much better looking than the equilibrium if you ask me0 -

The ti Equalibrium is in there http://www.flickr.com/photos/18bikes/76 ... 0759888514 £1500 framset £2300 whole bike. At £1500 for frame and fork, I think I'd rather go to Burls and get a custom built one,he could even match equalibriums geometry if needed...... I think you would get some change as well......--

Yeah, I just don't think they're going to get the same people who might buy a ti frame elsewhere considering an Equilibrium at that price when it looks like that, no matter how well it rides.
I'm disappointed in the new colour schemes and graphics for the steel Equilibriums too. I prefer the orange to cherry red, but still... I do think Genesis don't really get who the Equilibrium customer is. It's not someone who'd like a lighter aluminium framed road bike, but cannot afford it. It's someone who knows at least a little about bikes and has discovered they prefer the ride quality of steel. Every other producer of steel frames seems to know that their customers are fairly discerning and they style their bikes with that in mind. Genesis, however, make their steel frames look, well, cheap. Their new alu road bikes look way classier.0 -
I liked the 10 from the 2012 colours. Looked smart, and it wasnt red. The Orange doesnt work with the black chainset, it needs brighter stuff to lighten it up. I wonder if it'll be the Orange which is the frameset only option this year. Personally, I like the green of the 2013 Vapour and I wish they'd done it in that colour. Something like this frame colour would look amazing. I'm still trying to find someone who wanted rid of a 10 frameset so I can build one up as a winter bike.0

I think the new orange is pretty tasty, fit silver/chrome components and white saddle and tape. Hmm.

Wheels appear to be far better than those on the 2012 '20. I would think £ for £ the 2013 bikes are better value, which must be a good thing.0

Anyone any good on Photoshop??0 -
I typed in Orange road cycle on Google and there was an orange bike with black fork. I reckon it looks better with the orange fork.0

Last time I saw anything this sexy in orange it turned out to be a cynical case of ambush marketingNobody told me we had a communication problem0

Orange looks good. Might be interested if that's available as a frameset...FCN 3 / 40

I must be the most hamfisted person ever but I have managed to break the bolt (well it no longer tightens) on the seat collar.
Can I fit a new bolt or shall I get a new collar, if so what size would I need for a 27.2 seatpost?
thanks

It's unlikely you stripped the steel bolt, far more likely that you took the thread out of the softer, aluminium clamp. I'd go for a new clamp, it's a 29.8mm.0 -

My Equilibrium 20 arrived today. I was worried about its appearance given a lot of the flapping on here about the red, but it's gorgeous! Stunning bike... the nicest I've owned. Moreso than my Condors, which is saying something.
Can't wait to give it a blast.0 -

Yes, the seat clamps are shite. I did a similar thing with mine. Just get a suitable 29.8/30mm seat clamp from CRC or any other shop.0 -
Anyone know when the 2013 models are released?0
