  • What is the consensus on time – 6:45 or 7? I'm up for this! 7 would work better for me but could probably make 6:45 work…

See you all there. If I'm left standing, I'll set off but you're all quicker than me anyway ;). Red softshell so say hi.
What do you mean you think 64cm is a big frame?

  • Likewise - nice company! :) although coming down Broomfields in the dark was a little more interesting than I'd expected...

Depending on weather, planning an extended commute home via the park on Thursday, as have a rare reprieve from walking the dog.

Got there 6:30, stuck about for a bit, then moved on. Must have missed you.

Annoyingly I forgot to start my garmin as I set off again so only recorded half a lap, grrrrr.

Got stuck at work for a bit annoyingly so didn't get to RP until 7. Did 3 laps, wish I'd paid attention to the garmin as it looks like it was about 1hr and 20seconds for the 3... would have been nice to have snuck under, oh well.

You can just upload it to strava and crop it to see the length? Or make a 3 lap segment from where you started, if one doesn't exist already.

Yep, got the 1hr 20secs from Strava. Just meant if I'd had a glance at the splits I'd have pushed a bit on the last lap to ensure sub 1hr.
Lovely weather for it though, cold but not too cold. Bit more light would be nice.

I'm gonna be there - 3 or hopefully 4 laps. Ideally at 6.30 but might be 7.30 if I can't run some errands at lunch

I will probably get to the park just before 6, and do a couple of clockwise laps. Give me a shout if you see me. Wearing black, on the dolan, SCR cap and no helmet.

Didn't see anyone out but did set a PB lap, a bit windy to bother doing anymore!

Lots of gravel on the turn up to dark hill :!:

Just me this eve as I went to Lidl to pick up a rain jacket. Actually feels quite nice - sadly there were no S's so I had to go M which I reckon would be ideal if I didn't have such a pigeon chest!

Set a couple of PB laps- 3 in total - 2 ACW and 1 CW. Nice that it was a bit colder/lighter and fewer blinding lights. I swear one day I'll crash as I won't see the corners!

Odd how fast it feels in the dark without a cap when you can only hear the wind!

Ok who has started flagging Strava RP segments as hazardous?

Effortless ride there with a turbo tailwind. Then despite getting blown all over the place by the wind managed to get a sub-19 lap. Very weird. Followed by 22 miles straight into a headwind home. And the little screw adjuster on my rear deraillieur which keeps the jockey wheels away from the cassette snapped with 10 miles to go and I was stuck in a spinny gear.

Hard to see who's who when everything fore of the handlebars is a blind spot with all those f****** lights.
Totally unnecessary. Probs passed you going the other way at some stage as did laps both ways.

Happy with ACW 18:13 mind and room to spare for a safer daylight attack.
