Just made up 10 bottles of berry and 10 of orange. Should have enough for about 3 more of each. I'll bring the extra bottles and powder just in case.
That should be enough for 1 water bottle/energy drink each.

We also have at least a couple of berry energy gels each.

    All courtesy if CNP!

If buying stuff from them, please put in 'bikeradar ride' in the 'where did you hear about us' box. Don't forget the 40% code on the previous page...

I'm taking some gels, a benarnar, a flapjack and then there's the cafe stop! Should be plenty...
  • the wife has baked up some hazelnut brownies for those that like a chocolate fix. Plenty to go round.

Won't be making this now, was out that way this morning though and it was LS baselayer & SS jersey weather. Hope the forecast rain doesn't materialise for you.

Gutted that I can't make it - got to console myself with a day's shopping at Cheshire Oaks with the family :(

I know MTFU and all that but I figure that I'll save a few quid in divorce fees if I give it a miss - shame!

If the weather was anything like it was today, you'll gave a great day!

Thanks for organising this and for the riders that helped pace me - that is one the hardest rides I have done apologies for keeping going off the back that 3rd climb shot my legs I think the donkeys braying were a sign of the capability for the rest of the ride.

Despite all of that I really enjoyed the ride.

Don't worry - I'm in a body bag right now.

Thanks to everyone that showed up - you guys make the ride. And to Nap for plotting that devilish route. Next year - more flat bits please. :)

I think the donkeys knew what was coming after that hill  .More fecking hills that is why there were laughing at us.Good day out thanks to the big man for getting it up and running.Sorry i bailed out at Leek /Buxton road but the legs told me to go home so I did Cheers to everyone for a good ride.
Keep the chain tight all the way.

It was an awesome ride. Glad I bailed when I did, although I got a rear puncture about 5 mins later!
I was looking forward to the Cat and Fiddle descent, but I forgot It bloody well goes up hill in places. And I had a head wind!

No bacon buttie for me next year. When will I learn? (was tasty though)
    Thanks Nap!
  • Thank to everyone who sorted the route and organised this. I had a great ride but it was a bit more on the hilly side than I was expecting, last yr was a bit flatter, but a challenge non the less.

Didn't chat to everyone but I blame the hills for that, so appologies to those I didn't chat to.

Cut it short at the Leek/Buxton road due to time constraints but did have a good run up to the Cat & Fiddle and down into Macc, although it was blowing a bit.

    Thanks again, loved it.

The descent into Buxton was good, we did Long Hill then the descent into Goyt Valley where we decided to climb up to the C+F via Derbyshire Bridge rather than do The Street etc. The descent down the C+F was Epic! Fastest I've ever done it, pedalling the whole way.

Great to see everyone and a good turnout. Next year I'll do a flatter route with a couple of good climbs in there.

Please visit the CNP Site as they were kind enough to provide shedloads of drink and gels for this ride.

PM me before ordering anything though!
  • Cracking day out, cheers Nap for the route, found some (nice) climbs that I've never been up. Although the final cobbled climb almost did me over. Nice to do the climb up derbyshire bridge, one of the more scenic climbs in the area.

Good to meet everyone, but faces to usernames etc. Sorry completly forgot to hand out the choccy brownies. Next time perhaps.

Cheers to cnp for the goodies, really liked the gels.

Looking forward to the next one
