Are you trying to use TRIMP without having set up HR zones?More problems but still living....0
-
I had it set, but the HR date was the same as the 1st activity.
I have moved it back a couple of days. Seems to work now. Thanks!
One other thing, I changed the Trimp weighting but my TRIMP score remians the same. i even deleted all activity and re-imported with the new TRIMP weighting already set, but my TRIMP score remains the same. Can that be changed, or is it based on LTHR?
Thanks0 -
Bump for above
Also, another question. Is there a way on the map view to see where i achieved say my best 20 min power? (or any other ways?)
Also, what does 95% Heart rate mean?
Thanks0 -

If you select the interval it'll be displayed in the ride plot so you can see where in your ride you did it (if you've got elevation displayed and you did a hilly route then it's especially easy to work out where you did it). Don't think you can have it displayed on the map.More problems but still living....0 -

Oops, sorry for the delay. You spent 5% of the ride at this HR or higher.--

Ok, so if say my ride was 163 avg, with 171 95% HR, that means I sent 5% of the ride at 171 and above?
Just curious, how is that useful, what is it telling me?
Thanks0 -

Thats one for the coaches, but generally it is a measure of ride intensity. If the top 5% was within say your aerobic threshold then you didn't go hard. Sometimes average HR can mask this kind of thing.--

If you need a coach to tell you how to use them presumably the coach would know how to analyse the data beyond average heart rate0 -
Why does my average speed show to be so much higher compared to Garmin Connect or Strava? Sometimes up to .6 mph!0

Are you using smart recording? If so, you might want to think about switching to 1s recording, especially if you have a power meter. There is a setting in tools->options to process files for smart recording.
If not, then send me a file and I'll see if there is anything up with the data you are collecting.

Just upgraded to a Garmin 800 and the speed is similar to GC. Must have been a setting on my 500...0
-
Errr help!
Garmin went tits up, and says I put out 22,300 watts. I've deleted the ride, but still my CP graph shows my best as the stupid wattage. How do I remove it?
0 -
Which version are you using - official release or development build?
The easiest thing to do would have been to edit the stupid numbers out using the ride editor.
Have you exited GC then opened it up again and the CP chart still has the crazy number? You might need to do something that forces a refresh.
Mark will probably be along with a definitive answer soon....More problems but still living....0 -
Delete the .cpi file for the ride (It's in the data folder), exit gc and reopen. It should force the refresh.0

Doyler.
I love you.
Values now edited and exported from WKO and imported into GC.
Thanks!0 -
Has there been any progress on getting video playing on the training screen? The code on the V3 branch is still pointing to a file on Mark's desktop -- is anyone working on this?0

Dunno, but there is a Google street view thing on the latest development build where you can follow a previous ride. Not sure how interactive it is though as I haven't tried it yet. Would be cool if the power/speed from your riding on the turbo fed into the speed that the route is scrolled through.More problems but still living....0 -

Its in the v3 queue. It's a bit silly since the hard yards are done, I need to add the option to select media and add ffwd/rewind etc.
The focus has been on getting v2.1 bugs fixed and thats done now, closed the last 2.1 bug this week.
It will get sorted.
If you're interested the roadmap, which defines which bugs/features are slated for which release is over at http://bugs.goldencheetah.org/projects/ ... ah/roadmap
Cheers,

Hi, I'm new to this software just dowloaded it and have been trying to navigate around the screens.
I went out on my 1st ride with powertap yesterday and wanted to upload the data. I thought I'd be able to do this from my Garmin 500 Head unit but it seems to show a message saying no device found and that some sort of drivers need to be installed. I also note in the pull down menu in 'upload from device' the only two options are 'powertap' and 'SRM'
Any advice?
Thanks0 -
You can't download from the Edge 500 that way, but all you need to do is select the option to upload activity/ride and navigate to the activities folder on your Garmin.More problems but still living....0

Thanks Mate, sorted now. Cheers. No doubt more questions as I go on!0

You'll be please to know that this has been finished off. The code is in the main GC repository and builds should be available in the near future over at goldencheetah.stand2surf.net. We're working on the best way to get codecs/videolan stuff working without confusing the users.
I'm spending some time working on the training view and have cleaned it up a little and added some more features. Over the next month it should all get a lot better since I'm going to be back on the turbo again
I dumped a couple of screengrabs on my blog here: http://markliversedge.blogspot.com/2011 ... oming.html--

That's looking great. Just rearranged my garage to make room for the turbo. Its depressing to think how much time I'll be spending in there over the next few months, but then some new features in GC should at least help with the motivation.More problems but still living....0

Yes, that looks perfect. Will you just open GC and drag the sufferfest file into that box ?0
-
So, Garmin Edge 800, GC 2.0. When trying to import a ride from the activities folder [after the new Garmin firmware update], I get "Error - bad header size: 14".
I export the .tcx from Garmin training centre, and import that absolutely fine.
Any ideas?0 -

Hi,
Yes we fixed that, you need to download v2.1 from goldencheetah.stand2surf.net. Garmin changed the file format.--

Since I did a firmware update from 8.2 to 8.4 on the Garmin 800 I cannot upload to Golden Cheetah. I get a 'Error Bad Header Size:14' fault code and then nothing in GC. I can't find anything in the Wiki. Any ideas?0
