That is utterly horrendous... mine would be a lot more tasteful. Would be? Will be. There's no conditional tense needed here.

    Ordered it have we?

Get a shift on, I love living my bike buying life vicariously through you.

Found out if you are doing the DD yet? The weather is looking pretty good so far.

Oddjob, I think your front wheel is much prettier than the rear! Deep section black rims? Why don't you get "Hoxton Tosser" decaled on the down tube while you're at it? The rims will be heavy, prone to side winds and you'll look like a fakie :)

@LiTs that frame is a work of art so much so you've inspired me to swap my tourer frame with my SS frame and have that sculptured lugged beauty resprayed in it's original Mercian metallic blood red I might even stretch to Phil Wood or Royal

Some one stop me please :?

    1. Liverpool St is as close as i ever get to E London so Hoxton means sod all to me.... I can put "Liverpool St Tosser" if that will make you happy.... but i don't think that's got the same impact.
    2. 30g difference per rim (compared to the open sports on the front)... i'm sure i can live with that. My toolkit weighs more than that.
    3. My big body is more likely to be affected by side winds.
    4. "look like a fakie"... haha... you've obviously not seen me. I barely look like a cyclist.

Assuming I buy a new SS frame can you peeps help me with my build please?

    Brakes: I'm thinking Veloce
    Brake Levers: Cane Creek, Campag
    Forks: Something Carbon
Drop Bars & stem: Alu - perhaps Deda?
    BB: No Idea
    Chainset: Campag, Miche?
    Wheels: Already have
    Chain: KMC Track in red
    Headset: No idea
    Freewheel: ENO
Tires: Vittoria Rubino Pro in Black/Red

Thoughts please? The frame can be had for £337.49 Which leaves around £300 for parts.

hi principe, if you're going for drops, I'd say that regular levers are better for stability on the bike when braking, but the bar top ones make bartaping easier and swapping the bits over is more straightforward

I wouldn't recommend super expensive headsets or bb's but don't get cheap ones either, cane creek for the headset probably, the bb will depend on the frame and the chainset...

Brakes have to be hood style roadie ones, I'm a drops man and ride primarily on the hoods.

OK i thought you were going for that red one you posted a while back... going for black with red highlights then?.. kinda like the inverse of mine.

WRT the BB, maybe have a look at the transmission database on (dare i say it) the LFGSS forum. There's a LOT of combinations that have been posted that should give you a good chainline.
