Absolute domination of the sprint from Sam Bennett there, surely he's at least on Bora's long list for the tour.

Second for WvA too - anyone think he could put in a decent challenge for the green jersey? Probably not this year with Groenewegen in the squad but he's pretty versatile.
That leadout from Archbold was immense

Looking at the Tour de France profiles, stage 8 has the potential to be a very similar stage to yesterday's stage.

I think this is the future. MTFs don't make the gaps, this stage was super exciting

Fairly sure stage 13 of the Giro had the biggest time gaps of any stage and it was a monster MTF.

Weather is as big a factor....

this... literally tearing himself apart to get Sam Bennett in the right position. he absolutely obliterated everyone else in the final kick.

And such a non-aero hairdo, too.
It’s a nice story that such a recent addition to the team can perform like that. Surely an Archbold, Bennett and Sagan trio would as near guarantee Bora success at the Tour, leaving them 5 riders to play for the GC?

Froome has crashed on his TT recon and abandoned. Why does he keep doing this? Bloody amateur.

I thought the same. Telegraaf reckon it was caused by a whirlwind.

Big pity as he looked in fiercesome shape.

Obviously depends on the fracture but you can (and I did) ride on a fractures pelvis.

Brailsford says it’s ‘pretty clear’ Froome won’t ride the Tour. Has a suspected broken femur. Crash happened when he took hand off handlebars to clear nose on a fast section.

Oh man. TBH, he's been good value the last year as he's not been so far ahead of everyone else and he's got the engine and the palmares to sh!t or bust.

    Shame.

No 5th Tour this year then...

Big shame as he was looking very strong.
