Todays commute gave an average of 13.4mph, 50% off road.
Given current fitness I couldn't have pushed it any harder.

12.9mph for me this morning. Traffic, again.
Coilered yesterday. Took me 8 minutes more on the coiler than the road bike each way. I didn't think that was too bad!

Every time I stop at one of the 6 gates/ styles on the route the computer knocks 0.1mph off the average.

Ah, them. They're a pain! At least they're consistent though [:)]
I get shafted by the queues of traffic leading up to traffic lights, can't go fast past them. Drains, bad roads, bad drivers all get in the way. The first hill up from my house is past about a mile of slow traffic and 4 sets of lights, then at the bottom of the next hill there's about a mile of stationary traffic... going up the next one there's more slow traffic to avoid and you get the general idea of my journey!

I'm going to go nightriding again this week, and try to beat my first average speed. Ours is not that hard to beat.

Today's little jaunt into work averaged 16.9mph - too many cars/lights/slower cyclists to get anything higher. I really need to start racing '10s' again to guage how fast I really am. That said, it's all on road stuff, so need to get out there on the trails again.

I really pushed it yesterday.
Unfortunately, the battery in the transmitter of my computer had gone, so I have no stats. I suck.0 -

However, you are commuting on the Coiler, which is probably much better training in the long term....[:D]
I may have to do the commuter ride on the Coiler one weekend to see what the difference in timings is.
