Looks very strong - still riding away from a group of 6 (plus two of his teammates).

Ineos have strength chasing but they look like they are going backwards

They've got two riders, it's true, but he's done this to much better fields than this.

    Nice race this.

Ben turner attacks from chase for the podium

  • This is ridiculous. Even the puncture didn't introduce any jeopardy.

Number one ranked in the world, on a course that suits him, and the next best in the field was number 38. He's an impressive rider.

Ben Turner has had an excellent extended weekend in Spain.
First in Murcia and only beaten by a machine in Jaen.

  • Vuelta Andalucia next up for Pog, starts Wednesday, Eurosport look to have it.
  • Vuelta Andalucia next up for Pog, starts Wednesday, Eurosport look to have it.

Followed by Algarve, then we can add the Tour du Haut Var on Friday for 3 live stage races on Eurosport.

Andalucia definitely looks the more punchier.

Stage 1 | Puente de Génave - Santiago de la Espada

Stage 2 | Diezma - Alcalá la Real

Stage 3 | Alcalá de Guadaira - Alcalá de los Gazules

    Stage 4 | Olvera - Iznájar

Stage 5 | Otura - Alhaurín de la Torre

Meanwhile, Algarve is about the ITT and these two stages.

Stage 2 | Sagres - Alto da Fóia

Stage 4 | Albufeira - Alto do Malhão

  • Good finish to the Oman race today. Bouchard all over the place in the run in, but to no avail.

  • Ineos must have growing concerns over Egan Bernal as he fails to take today’s Andalucia start. Apparently the knee injury he picked up in San Juan still hasn’t recovered.

They'd announced he wasn't starting last week, so I don't think you can really say he failed to take the start.
  • UAE trying to set up a final climb test for anyone to stay with pog.

Fraile attacked across to the lead group but not being given enough gap to stay clear to help anyone, I'd think.
  • UAE currently involved in doing what they did on Monday: ripping the legs off everybody.

    Okay
I took it from the fact that he was on the Velogames startlist, yesterday.

The rocket man has launched. Nobody can live with him.

  • Mas mechanical.
Pogacar will have a huge gap by the finish.

Was that the reason why Pidcock was relegated to 128th?

Unrelated. That crash happened well away from the front, and about 200m from the finish.

Pidcock relegated for taking his hands off the bars to make room for himself.

    Mas mechanical.
Pogacar will have a huge gap by the finish.

Is it ominous he's already riding away or has he not learnt he needs to stop spreading him keep it so thinly if he wants to win the tour?

I just hope he keeps doing it, I would much rather see a rider trying to win everything they ride than concentrating on the Tour (as a sponsor my views might differ though). For far too long we've had the top riders concentrating on a few races a year at most.

I agree if he's doing it for the big races. I'd rather see him beat Jumbo Visma in July though. He may not have been trying yesterday for all we know.

It must be remembered that at his young age recovery is remarkably quick.

I am not sure. You have no chance.

  • Early start again today, so only 40kms to go.
Coming to the 2nd cat climb which is long, but has a 2km section of over 13%!
Covi won here last year and I believe it was Ethan Hayter the year before.

  • Pog attacks from the peloton.

Theuns surely the best in the breakaway for this finish, but they've got to stay away with him.
