They’re doing a wristband system so don’t let the 30 hour queue put you off as you can leave for the toilet or food.

There should be a fast pass system like at theme parks so the rich can pay to jump the queue of peasants

"MPs, peers and up to four guests each are being given special access at arranged times."

I find it bizarre that devout monarchists are complaining that the privileged elite have a fast track.

More pointless virtue signalling. I get marketing emails from various sources inc this one promoting ticket sales to events. Today's email states:

    Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

A promotional email to tell you they won't be sending a promotional email? What kind of fuckwittery is that.

Very small husbands too.. have you seen the size of the urn? You wouldn't fit the ashes of a cat in it...
Yeah, I thought that as well. It was like they taken a small sample of the ashes that they carry everywhere in the handbags. Very weird!

They probably thought they could get mugged in London, so they must have split the bulk of the ashes… imagine how devastating it would be to lose their partners’ ashes… Weirdly the idea makes me laugh though…

If it's just a small packet the muggers may be confused and try to smoke it.

So someone I know headed to pay respects today.

Not particularly a royalist or nutjob, but she's out of work and so her sense was "there's nothing else I'm doing and it'd be nice to feel like I'm part of something bigger"

At 10.45 this morning there was no queue under Waterloo Bridge though it was being reported it was back to HMS Belfast. At 4.45 pm there cerainly was a queue but they were all moving forward at a brisk walking pace.

I can see a small section of the queue (near the tate modern) from my office window but it seems to vary between not being there at all and being a fast(ish) moving line. Certainly by 10am I had seen the queue moving.

I suspect that the line is held back for a bit and then released, either to stop congestion in busy areas, or to allow people to have a rest rather than constantly shuffling along for 8 hrs.
