As a contractor, I have lost a days wages for an unwanted random monday off work but I will be spending it mowing the lawn/cutting hedges and filling my green bin, which will be collected as usual on Wednesday.

Interesting concept that the queue is designed to be such a thing. A ticket system with timed access could have been easily set up but the queue provides much better optics to repel future reform discussion. Interesting.

Pretty much every timed-entry event I have ever attended has still involved a queue and all of those with a tiny fraction of the numbers involved here.

The main problem with timed entry is that it would require some luck to get a ticket. A long queue enables anyone who really wants to to go

    Sherry? too Spanish.

Surely Ribena or some of thatshit gin from Cornwall the Farage lickers started selling?

Fairish point, but British sherry was truly execrable (think Harvey's Bristol Cream but lacking the 'subtlety' of the overpowering saccharine sweetness and with a bit of a tangy edge), which is kind of Brexit in a nutshell.

Have the radio playing in background, been muting on the news breaks, now has ooh Gary Davies playing an ok selection. But. I find myself keeping on swearing at the raydeeoh when he reads out the waffle messages from those weirdos who queued for no good reason. Leave it. Leave it.

The Establishment are doing a grand job cementing in the forelock tugging subservience mindset. Never mind the suitcases of dodgy cash or Prince Nonce.

Most of them will have met her. It will be a duty for the others.
Respect for the Monarch but this is overkill as far as I am concerned. Cycling tomorrow.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

There will have been an obligation for the Commonwealth heads of state, but not for any of the others. I really think most in this echo chamber under-estimate what a huge occassion tomorrow is.
That said, nothing wrong with going out for a ride if you want to.

Of course it's a big event. Couldn't not be. I've not really seen anyone on here arguing otherwise, though plenty saying that they personally aren't tht bothered about the event. That includes me.

Just for clarity, I have no objections to the events themselves.
It is the media overkill that has gone past annoying, and personal impact.
Apparently you can overkill a massive event.

Nor the Saudi one. Him of dubious journalist killing fame. And being the oil producer...

Anyway, I've got God Save The Queen lined up for 8pm. Yes. That one.
