Cheers! I’ve got some 50s and 60s that I’ll stick on for photos tomorrow.

    Mega granular - grazie!

    Top, top toy that be.
Here it is with the 60s. Would look better slammed perhaps.

I'll see if can get the 50s on later. These have tan wall tyres on atm, but I don't know if they'll suit this bike.

Just looked there and it's back up to £599 from £549. Headset is £60, FD Clamp £10, Seat post clamp £5. I didn't need BB cable guide or downtube barrel adjusters, because of eTap. If you sign up for their newsletter you get 10% off code FIRSTSIGNUP22. I added a couple of bottle and cages and paid a total of £576.

BTW, I can confirm that these are made by Walty as the box had a big sticker from their factory.

    Grazie!

Have you slammed it yet and cut the excess rubbish off the steerer tube?

As an aside, whats so special about the headset to make it £60?

Wondered that myself. In the end I couldn't be bothered sourcing something cheaper. It's zero stack internal cup upper and external cup lower, which is slightly unusual. Full details here https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/HSSELC18ELB/selcof-semi-integrated-cup-cartridge-bearing-headset

One problem is that it is supplied with a star nut which isn't really suitable for a carbon steerer, so I used a fork bung that I had in my spares instead.

Nah - that bloke sounds well gravy.

If he's said slam it I'd get it slammed asap tbh. He's the only one with any style on here tbh.

May be down to the steerer taper or something or who knows.

    Bit spicey though......

Zero stack height surely appeals to the MFs to the point where a minor cost increase is irrelevant. 😉
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

This is a very good point very well made and I can see all MFs slowly nodding their heads in agreement....

The rattling of brain cell is deafening.

I’m about 5’10 with 34” inseam and run my saddle at around 78cm.

Fairly long legs for height then?

The quote the M frame as 50cm C to T - I assume that is a virtual top tube although that is not what their pictogram shows. A C to "virtual" top would make the frame on the smallish side.

Good question but headsets seem to come in around the 50 quid mark these days anyway unless you get some chinese no name of ebay.
I assume it is a standard headset of some sort or it could be a faff to source.

Yip, all legs so need a high saddle but not a huge reach. The M frame has a virtual top tube of 55 cm, which is what I like, but the actual seat tube (BB to top) is only 50 cm due to sloping geo.

Anyway, here it is with 50 mm carbon rims with Veloflex tan walled tyres. I think I prefer the monochrome look.

    Hell's teeth that looks nice.

Tbh though, undecided re tan walls and all black. Both look gravy.

Needs slammin' and blsck 'cages deffo.

Think you should give it to me for a while to look after it. I'll have a MF pamper it.

What about with the 50s but black tyres and with the 60s with tanwalls? Surprised MF hasn't asked already.

    But darn fine call 👍

Frame is around 1500g and fork 350g. My build is between 7.5 and 8kg (incl. cages, computer mount and pedals) depending on wheels, tyres and pedals used.

It’s pretty comfortable as it is, and I usually like to keep a little bit of excess tube for resale purposes, but I might put the spacer above the stem to test if I can cope with a slammed position. If it works out, you’ll be the first to know.

I rode with the stem in the slammed position this morning and it felt good. It encourages me to get a little lower in the hoods and the drops were still easy to reach. I was probably a bit faster than I would have been with the bars higher so think I might just go for it!

Will you all please stop posting to this bloody thread. Every time I've calmed down again and convinced myself I cannot possibly justify buying one, this thread pops to the top of the list and I'm off researching components to build one. Just stop it!

I was seriously looking at one of these but wanted to use 28mm tyres on it.
Both the website and the online chat I had indicated 25mm max but babones has fitted 30mm types - is that correct and is there any clearance with those tyres?

    No.

    You must buy one

One of those, deep rims, Force, some nice carbon finishing kit, slammed.

    Pwoooaaarr

You could do it for a grand shopping wisely, which, to be honest, is about the same as you'd pay for a nice lunch.
