  • Camera bike now in front of Lizzie, albeit by some way.
    Gap has stabilised.

Looks like she's starting to suffer now. Less than 7km to go.
  • It's not coming back is it...?

For Vos to win she has to ride the rest 20% quicker than Lizzie.
  • Lizzie D the best rider on the day, by some way.
Vos actually losing time again as they approach the velodrome.

As good a win as you'll see in the race male or female.

Almost exactly a (slow) lap and a half in front of Vos

Have to admit I didn't see Lizzie winning that, didn't think she'd have the horsepower.

Someone needs to have a word with those motorbikes though. Sure, it was a powerful attack by Vos but they certainly aided her closing the gap between sectors.

    Absolutely.
So, at the end of the day, not exactly a rain ruined lottery podium, some predicted.

That was a good fun race that.

Theyve messed up the broadcast with a race recap over Lizzies interview...

  • I would have opened a Belgian brew or two, had the race had proper coverage. Well worthy of it.

I don't understand not wearing gloves at the best of times let alone in P-R but Magnus disagrees and he knows a little bit more than me

The live studio show broadcast seems to have gone wrong.

Lizzie confirms she wasn't initially going out to win. I suspected it was a tactic that went "wrong" but I doubt she cares!
