I would have liked to see Sancho but Saka is a decent player imo too.

    Saka's been good so far.
    Kane really is slow.

Saka's been out best player as he's ran in the defence or tried to get behind them, meaning not everything is being played in front of them.

On the flip side, we've been very open defensively and given it away too much at the back.

He almost caught up with the Czech number 6!

What is that? I generally can't be arsed with the stats moneyball thing. I'm just a (very) casual football follower going on the basis Saka was one of a few not to disgrace himself at Arsenal this season and actually look like he knew what he was doing.

Watched a few Bundesliga games this year, entertaining but no strength in depth. Can’t compare stats to the premier league.

Anyone who finds BBC's commentary team and pundits annoying should be forced to watch ITV. It's like complaining about Ron Hatch and then having to listen to Carlton Kirby instead. You soon begin to appreciate things more.

    Football manager stats!

    Come on lads!

Famously so accurate and well researched (1300 scouts no less) it’s been used by minnow clubs before.

Remarkably accurate given its in the business of simulation

    😉😉

England really are a difficult watch.
Again no pace or urgency, and a love of passing the ball back 50 metres whenever they can.

You could add another column for psychic ability. Wouldn't be any less realistic.

Neither side has had an attempt on goal this half.
    Another dire match involving England.

My grass has grown noticeably this half.

At least Scotland are heroically being thrashed. Shush now.

One of the things that drives me crazy about commentators is their complete inability to tell the viewer what decision the officials have given. If at a game and a goal looks offside, you can look at the assistant referee as opposed to wait for a TV director or commentator to realise.

    "Henderson's first goal for England..........
......has been chalked off for offside"

Not sure what the Czech defence was up to though.

I didn't see England v Scotland but if this is England looking far more fluid as the commentators kept saying first half it must have been dire. They seem to be setting up for the "difficult to beat" tag.

Did I watch a different match to the commentators? I know they want to drum up excitement and keep people watching but trying to make out that was anything more than a turd of a game is insulting the intelligence of those who were watching.

How do the Scots fans who gloated about their magnificent win-draw against England rationalise that they've lost quite badly against two teams England beat?

Does not compute. Must vote yes. Make everything better.

Top of the group. Job done. Really impressed with Saka. Strong for a smaller player, held the ball up well, rarely gives the it away, twists and turns nicely, looks a handful.

At the end of the day England have won the group, not lost a game and not conceded.

It was a game of two halves, much more open in the first, then closed out the second, you could say good game management, but for the number of times they lost it at the back.
