not exactly taking johnny foreigner apart are they?
good, not great.
Why would a non English manager of a Chelsea, Man City, Tottenham or Liverpool play English players when they have the money to buy the best Italians if they wanted to?
And if they played English players who weren't up to the standard of the very best how would they reach the Champions League final with that handicap ?
I mean even AC Milan play an English defender - not one of the best though he didn't make the England squad.[Castle Donington Ladies FC - going up in '22]0 -
Kane has scored 166 premier league goals (7th highest) with the equal highest goals to games ratio. He has done this while playing for Spurs.0

Odd, as the Premier League is by far the richest league in the world.MattFalle said:

There is something so fun about tournament football.
No two legs, no 40 games to even out the luck, no months to sort stuff out.
Love it1 -
Certainly is.rick_chasey said:That French group is savage isn’t it?

He'll of a comeback by Quin's. I think they were something like 16-0 down when I had the radio on earlier.Dorset_Boy said:

But in your last post you stated the money was the same in Italy, so if you can earn the same money in Italy why work here?MattFalle said:

I do think the wingbacks are key to England.
Ultimately though I think Southgate’s main preoccupation is not to concede and rely on set pieces.
Germany by contrast getting lots of love on the right with wingback overlaps. Italy too albeit inverted. Easier to do against Portugal who don’t have Mbape as a threat0 -
-
Again German goal - wingback overlap (Kimmich) overloads the opposition left back and gives the wingback enough time to cross.
This is the kind of stuff England can do especially against teams like Scotland Czechoslovakia0
