Cav was hanging out with the Williams brothers from Legion of Los Angeles at the Commonwealth Games. Means nothing, but I would certainly love to see him join them for 2-3 years after his WT career has actually ended and ride the crit circuit.
Is also a Specialized team. 😁

Don't know which team works at WT level while still staying with Specialized. Total Energies are a huge downgrade. Bora is probably more focused on GC with some breakaway efforts to appease their German roleurs. QS seems focused more on Jakobsen even though his Tour was pretty awful.
Maybe EF & Cannondale or Israel & Factor?

He could make some guest appearances, but fulltime it would be like Gareth Bale playing for LA Galaxy (without the cash and golf)

I know Israel have the rep of being a retirement home, but it seems a natural match

I'm not sure what the deal is but I think the ones that drop out have certain guarantees. It's a farce really to keep the likes of Uno-X out.

No guarantees I'm aware of. Two teams get auto invites to all WT races, and one more gets auto invite to all WT one day races, based on points from this season only (relegation/promotion is on pts from 3 seasons)

Israel are some way behind both Lotto and Direct Energie in points this season

I think entry into the GTs is allocated based on just this years scores so there is still a reasonable change Israel would get toride them next season even if they get relegated.

Yes, it's this season's points for the wildcard, and Israel are screwed if it's Lotto that go down with them. Both Direct Energies and Lotto are well ahead of them. If Israel can't grab enough points to stay up, their next best bet is to make sure Lotto stay up and Movistar go down.

It's not impossible we see some weirdness later in the season, though I imagine Israel think they might be able to climb out of the relegation places.

I reckon the trade team connections at the world's could be interesting 😉

Weird signing, not exactly a young up and coming rider or prolific in low level events.

He’s likely going to join jumbo in a coaching capacity - jumbo visma sports group however, so includes the skating team.

Hopefully that means the rest of the Ineos Vuelta team will be given a bit of freedom.

It might just be me, but I think that announcing signings before they have finished their racing program, and especially on the day of a big race, is a bit of d1ck move
