FDJ-Groupama announced that eight of their development team riders will be riding for the WT team next season. Eight!!

Not a huge surprise to those of us that keep an eye on the U23s. Big things are definitely expected from Martinez, Thompson (who had been previously announced), Watson and particularly Gregoire. I'm not so familiar with the other three, but looking at their palmares, they all look worthy of the step up. FDJ are comfortably the team with the most exciting youth coming through right now. The challenge will be to keep them all.

Lorena Wiebes to join SD Worx on a three-year deal from next season, due to a clause in her DSM contract that allowed her to leave if a team offered her more money.

Not bad for an 18 year old!

They've (Alpecin) signed Kaden Groves from BEX so probably covers that

Cav would make a good mentor for him though.

Now I feel old - he was a little kid riding around local fields the last time I saw him!

Can they accommodate 3 sprinters and MvdP though?

Nit sure things were necessarily that great between parties involved, but they did send Merlier and Philipsen to the '21 tour. Not sure they would again though

Casper Pedersen to Quickstep has probably been mentioned before, but apparently it's explicitly to train him as an eventual replacement for Mørkøv. The master may even have had a hand in choosing his apprentice

I was hoping he would go to Ineos.
Can you imagine the commentary chaos when both he and Filippo Ganna were both racing? :D

Points don't go with riders do they? Bit odd to move to a team that looks likely to get relegated.

I know one commentator that would just act as if they were the same rider (not that I can comment, I still struggle with there being two Pedersens in the peloton).

Mid-season.... Team was raided earlier on in the year.

hmmmmm...Very odd. He's one of their better riders too.

Interesting. Do you read that as
    Team wanted shot or
    Rider wanted out?

On the basis of a set up by someone trying to make a journalist look a bit of a idiot for not following evidence.

Three, if you count Mikkel Bjerg... (He changed his name many years ago, I assume it was parental divorce or something)
A while back both Pedersens won races the same day, while Bjerg got a podium from the break in the Giro. He said he regretted the name change 😅

So it looks like Guy Sagiv, formerly of Israel-PremierTech, has been dumped from their roster, presumably to make space to accommodate Teuns.
