Think this rumour was mentioned previously.

And rapidly confirmed by the team:

Disappointed but probably inevitable0

Arensman confirmed by Ineos0

Just came to post that, worst kept secret of this season.

Ineos will be a stepping stone in his career path to Jumbo Visma."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0

Can't find the thread for it, but Terpstra has announced his retirement.
Bit sad, I was always a Terpstra fanboi.1 -
Terpstra was good not great. Massively benefited from having Boonen and riding for QS. On both his big wins he was pretty much allowed to ride away (PR less than Flanders).
Excellent career though!PTP Champion 2019, 2022 & 20230 -

That is very true.PTP Champion 2019, 2022 & 20230

He dropped Nibali going upill in his Flanders win tbf. I think if Vincenzo could go with him he would, so the description of "being allowed to rise away" is harsh (especially as Boonen wasn't in that edition as he'd retired by then)1

Think that’s a little unfair. You don’t win Flanders and Roubaix solo from an attack out of the group of favourites without being great.m.r.m. said:Terpstra was good not great. Excellent career though!
He was the master wind up merchant. Boonen once said he was the best teammate but the worst rival. Excellent at the (non doping) dark arts. I like that in athletes. Happy to wind people up for an advantage.

Think he maximised his talent but he was consistently a genuine favourite and was on a lot of podiums.

I can see all of that. You could say that makes him very good though, not great. 😉PTP Champion 2019, 2022 & 20230

Adam Yates to UAE confirmed

That feels like another odd move. Is he going to get a look in there with Pog, Almeida and Ayuso (plus Soler)? The last three seemed to be riding as a bunch of individuals at the Vuelta rather than as a team. Is he just accepting he can be a well paid domestique for Pog at the Tour?gweeds said:Adam Yates to UAE confirmed

Clearly following the cash. Ineos were apparently only offering 50% of what he was on.Pross said:

Unless he moved to a smaller team, on less money, he was always going to be a domestique for someone. The possibility of a stage win might still be there.Pross said:

I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -
He's never been a domestique in the mountain train sense of the word, and he's also never really truly challenged for a GT GC, so he's there presumably to challenge for 1-week stage races and make up the numbers in either the Giro or Vuelta.Pross said:

What's a 1-day stage race?0

Same as a 21 stage race, only 20 less stages. 😉me-109 said:What's a 1-day stage race?

3 years there and 2 at Israel. But can win a weeks race and ride tempo for Pogjimmythecuckoo said:last big pay day

Probably an excellent payday along with the recognition that he’s unlikely to win a GT now. It does give UAE more to combat JV with in the tour next year. I can see why he’s gone.Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.0

18 year old Michael Leonard turning pro with Ineos next year2
-
I'd never heard of him so looked him up. Looking purely at the results on PCS for the last 2 seasons I'm struggling to see what he has done to entice a WT contract. They've obviously seen some potential in him but PCS only has 2 results for this season.r0bh said:18 year old Michael Leonard turning pro with Ineos next year
It feels like they have a very young squad there now and have lost quite a lot of experience this year.0 -
WvA has extended to 2026 on revised terms - I'll bet he has! like a one man team.2
