Surprised Narvaez didn't get a longer extension (or did he still have some time on his current contract?).andyp said:

Bit of a surprise that. He was supposed to be off to Movistar. I wonder what's going on with him/Ineos.Pross said:

I thought I had read he was definitely off - maybe as he is buddies with Bernal, might he have elicited some sway I wonder?gsk82 said:

Given the (lack of) form he showed most of the time on his big € at Cofidis, there was likely few other takers offering any sort of reasonable wedge. Ineos can pay him ok and afford to have him focus a lot on the track, which keeps Ganna happy and presumably Pinerello.daniel_b said:

Doesn't appear to finish too many races either, so presumably spends the first 100km looking after his leaders, and isn't seeking his own opportunities on the road bike. Seems to work well for both parties.RichN95. said:
Cheap, reliable and well liked. Also expends the Ineos sports empire into Ironman and sells Pinarellos to triathletes.roscoe said:

CQ Ranking has Ineos at 31 riders now (the max for 2022) so that's your lot I guess

Maybe he saw the farce that is Movistar in action and re-evaluated his options! They should fight to keep him, he's a talent.gsk82 said:

It felt like they had a very young squad but the average age is 27 which doesn't seem that young (quite a few old timers increasing the average though). It always depresses me when I see riders I still think of as fresh new talent hitting 30!r0bh said:CQ Ranking has Ineos at 31 riders now (the max for 2022) so that's your lot I guess

Seems a bit silly to me.
(Might make more sense later if he signs for QS tho)0 -

Did anyone notice the bike brand he was riding in this clip before EF made such a fuss about this?
