Why was Annemiek wearing the worlds kit, in a national team race?

So Jumbo and Ineos have just snubbed the race? It's a World Tour race so they're supposed to send a team, right? Will they be in bother with the UCI or are there virus related dispensations?

I believe teams can opt out of WT races now. Sure I read about it somewhere.

I read that they got fined 50,000 euros each. Plouay is Lappartient's neck of the woods so the UCI treat it like a sixth monument.

Same as MVDP In the CX Euros last year; it's not their team kit, but a 'national team' kit, but in white with WC bands.

Germany win the mixed TTT, despite a double puncture on the penultimate lap.

Démare wins the final stage (his third of the race) and GC in the Tour Poitou-Charentes.
  • Usually raced at the start of April, but tomorrow we have the first of the Giro "warm up" stage races: the 35th Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali.

Lots of WT teams present this year with DQS sending a strong looking team. Ineos have gone for a GB/Colombia half and half. Sosa probably the nominal leader.

The now usual split first day of a flat jaunt and 2x3 man TTT.

    After that it gets lumpy.

    Stage 2

    Stage 3

    Stage 4

Rai have a 45 minute highlights package each day which hopefully will appear in one of the usual places.

Shame Demare isn't at the Tour. He is flying at the moment.

Groupama are fully behind Pinot being in fourth place when it goes pear shaped in week three.

Anyone know why Dowsett was on a Shiv for the Euros?

He really looks to be paying for living at altitude in these 1 off events. Coming off it with a day or so's notice to race them.

Tom Pidcock won stage 4 of the Baby Giro and has a 58 second lead on GC. There are another 4 stages to go. Sadly, there seems to be no video coverage.
  • Does he ride for a trade team? He's done well when up against the pros as a national

He rides for Trinity Racing, who have cross, road and MTB teams (picked from the same pool of riders, so you can ride multiple disciplines)

If you do several edits in short succession it also autoflags as needing moderation - I've fallen foul of that at least once. Makes the LR thing a right pain as the bowdleriser only kicks in once it's posted (not in preview) so I then have to go through as best I can and fix them all in the one edit.

A good showing from the youngsters in Hungary.
The home boy winner Valter is only 22, but he's 3 years older than the runner up, Quinn Simmonds.
L'Avenir winner from last year, Tobias Foss continues his promising recovery from serious injury, by finishing 5th, but he's an ancient 23 year old.
Suddenly, in cycling terms, 23 seems to be the new 28.

I tried to catch up on the final stage on GCN but it didn't seem to be there, despite having a link to it. I was particularly looking forward to getting a look at Quinn Simmons who did a 'Remco' and skipped the U23s having dominated in the Juniors.

Big day for Tom Pidcock as the Baby Giro hits the mountains for the final two stages. Today's stage sees a summit finish at the top of the Splugen Pass, a near 30 km climb from Chiavenna. Tomorrow's stage features the hardest side of the Mortirolo.

He's down to two team mates, Tom Gloag and Ben Healy, so has a tough job on his hands to defend the jersey.

I thought he'd signed for Ineos at the end of last season or was he just a stagiaire?
