Feel OK as other than a short car journey I have been in bed all day.
Still feel quite jelly-legged when I am on my feet.0 -
so were the Ruperts who gave this to you similarly effected or did they breeze through it?rick_chasey said:So while I live in a shoebox my parents across town have an array of bedrooms to chose from, so when I tested positive I headed there to isolate.
First half they were away on holiday so it was quite easy, second half not so fun.
wife and child have dodged getting it so that's something.0 -

Apparently he had to sit down at 10pm after his barbecue on day 6 which was “very unlike” him0 -

Although maybe the circles I'm in contact with are going less hard on the apres.

Maybe I'm not so weird for still choosing to favour outdoor tables, for the time being... I'm getting more friends' covid positive statuses on FB than Wordle-brags, and some of them feeling proper rough.
OK, it was a little chilly, but I got warm again on Peak Hill afterwards.0 -

Hmm, going to Verona to see family I haven't seen for over 2 years this weekend. I wasn't planning on going to the mountains so I might be ok I guess0

That was *pre-alpha* times! Alpha came in Xmas 20/21, and was worse than the original strain...briantrumpet said:shirley_basso said:

After many near misses, it looks like its my turn for the double red lines.

Legs are still weak and rubbish even after 3 weeks of being well enough to get back to work. Still don't feel right. Using gears 1 & 2 to get up a long hill instead of 3 & 4 on my commute.
Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

I missed the fact that (because they have stopped reporting on weekends), yesterday was the highest number of positive tests reported on one day in the UK.0
-
Bit perkier this morning. Am sitting up and doing some work.
Will see how long it lasts. (day 11 or 12 can't remember).
Still testing positive.0 -
I am sure that you have Googled the sh1t out of it but I find it amazing that you and I have had the same illness. Other than red lines on a cheap plastic test we have no other similaritiesrick_chasey said:Bit perkier this morning. Am sitting up and doing some work.

Better half positive since Sunday morning, under the weather since last Friday. Classic symptoms - cough, headache, tiredness.
Interestingly, she hasn't been anywhere for a week or so (under the weather with something ese - defo not covid, we know what it is). Last time she saw anyone was Tuesday last week (so three days before symptoms started)... on the other hand, I was on a stag do all weekend before that Tuesday...
Maybe I brought it home? Currently no symptoms and tested negative on Sunday. Will test again tomorrow.
Bricking it tbh, I was a shielder when this all kicked off.Ben

I've had no cough, no headache, no fever, no loss of taste. Just this fatigue. Also it seems quite unusual to keep testing positive for so long.0 -
Give it another ~4 weeks and you should start to feel more normal, unless you have Long Covid.photonic69 said:Legs are still weak and rubbish even after 3 weeks of being well enough to get back to work. Still don't feel right. Using gears 1 & 2 to get up a long hill instead of 3 & 4 on my commute.

I never felt worse than a minor cold but kept testing positive until day 10 when I gave up (went out but mainly outside and early when nobody about) until a week later when I went into school and did a testrick_chasey said:

I'm also gutted it has coincided with the good weather. I'd put in a lot of miserable hours where I could over the winter to be in decent shape to enjoy the nice weather on the bike.
Waste of time.0 -
Personally, I'm hoping that March isn't the last of the good weather, and assuming it all goes away, getting a few weeks worth of fitness back won't take long.rick_chasey said:I'm also gutted it has coincided with the good weather. Interesting: the number of covid patients in Devon hospitals is at its highest level since the beginning of the pandemic, as cases skyrocket again ("But it's all over!!"), but the number on ventilators is (mercifully) still very low.

Can Englanders still order free LFT tests or do I just pretend I'm ok and go to work..?
Can't see why not here: https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests0 -
You can get free tests up till the 31st of March however the postal option seems limited and we are having to pick them up.0
