    Not going to happen.

He still visits the forum (most recently last night) - he would have replied by now if he was going to.

This is like the great decals thread, I keep hoping the OP has updated us with pictures of the great decals, I mean of how Merlin laughed at him, but for some reason they don't come back with an update. Embarrassed they made a fool of themselves perhaps.

If you're in such bad financial situation that you can't be without money for an admin mistake on something you ordered for a weekend I'd suggest you couldn't afford to order it in the first place.

I just bought a new chain and brake cables from merlin. Arrived on time and I didn't order anything I didn't want. Full St of dura-ace brake cables for 13 quid or there abouts isn't bad...

Did they charge you for what you ordered? According to the OP some unscrupulous online retailers have started this sharp practice.
    Beware!

They are getting even worse than that. Some are including small packs of Haribos to fatten me up and slow me down as well as sending me what I ordered.
    Outrageous!

I ordered a pair of training wheels from Merlin the other week. They arrived promptly as usual, unpacked them and thought I was going mad when looking at them both. Definitely wasn't going mad. They sent me two front wheels.
Sent them an email and they replied very quickly and got the problem fixed. Wheel was picked up on a Friday and had the new one by Wednesday.
A touch inconvenient but I'd happily use them again.

+1 Merlin rock and have always been great IME. They're not going to steal your money and the time it takes them to process your change of mind is going to cost them time. It's great they leave work early. Wouldn't most of us if we could.

worse than that! i never received my haribos from one unscrupulous online retailer, when i complained they sent me a pack but never put a stamp on they cost me a fortune! that kind of company should be closed down and the staff executed. in public

Having read this thread I was minded to give Merlin a go. I placed an online order for a jersey and a stem and waited for the fun to start. Sure enough, they took my money for the stuff. Then they had the audacity to realise they had a stock error and had none of the jerseys left and then, get this, they contacted me directly to offer an alternative or a refund... A REFUND!! OF MY OWN MONEY!!! FOR SOMETHING THEY COULDN'T SUPPLY ME!!!!!! I was obviously outraged and, in no uncertain terms, thanked them for letting me know and opted for the refund. And wouldn't you Adam and Eve it, they only went and refunded me! AND they shipped the stem as ordered!

Sorry - just had to come and tell a bunch of strangers about it; you can imagine how I'm feeling right now. Satisfied doesn't even begin to cover it.

Don't training wheels go either side of the back wheel?

Maybe he wanted an asymmetric setup to go with his osymetric crankset.
  • Did you get a refund then Bungle? Been 2 months already since you started this topic! How did it go?
