    Valverde not riding Flanders.

Is that official or is his name not on the start list yet?

He probably had enough of Northern Europes rain yesterday :)

What makes you think he still won’t be in Flanders on Sunday?
After his hurty knee thing last year, I suspect he’s anxious to not waste a moment of his phenomenal form and is chasing his Legendary status to the max...

    2) Everyone around the table bar the journalists feel that when the flag drops its racing and there’s way too much hanging around waiting for crashes etc. Boonen looks quite incredulous at the suggestion otherwise and says plainly “we’re pros. If you have bad luck, tough”. He also blames the commentators for making it an issue.

Lampaert looked really strong there, covered anything he needed to with real ease, must be a threat in the upcoming races if he gets a chance. What's his sprint like, looks like his big wins have all been solo ?

    This

In one day races, totally agree. Think GTs are a different matter though.

    Journalist made that point.

    Boonen & Lefevre weren't interested.

Well, if I were a professional cyclist, I'd always wait for a fellow professional unless I'd be disadvantaged or lose the opportunity to gain an advantage by doing so.

On Terpstra Boonen declares unprompted he’s the best teammate he’s ever had.

Reading inbefeeen the Lefevre lines, Terpstra will muck in full gusto with the ugly team tactics behind, disrupting chases, being generally irritating etc.

Boonen credits his 2012 PR win as much to Terpstra’s slowing tactics on every cobbled section (getting to the front and then slowing down) as his own strength.

Sounds like Terpstra doesn't give a flying one about winding everyone up. Boonen said it himself that when he was at Milram, Terpstra would just follow him everywhere and it used to really p1ss him off haha

Teunissen bought a big one there, fantastic little move by Lampaert. Reminds me of Paolini at Gent Wev 2015, had 10 metres and no one wanted to chase and that was it

50% chance of rain on Sunday and cool with a West/North Westerly wind.
So, a crosswind and a cross tailwind for the final bit heading North from Kerhove to Oudenaard.
(If I got my orientation right and that means a solo effort is possible to do).

Splits galore? I wonder who the QS team will be supporting. Any ideas?
I'm hoping Gilbert or are they going to play it on the day?
Sagan looked shot to bits after Ghent but he's a tough nut,
GVA is there or thereabouts but I think the classics are slipping through BMC's fingers but we shall see.

Sep will have to solo with his lack of a sprint. Can't see that happening, but there is always the puncher's chance!

Saturday night's all right for fighting.

    Back OT:
    So looking forward to Flanders.
And now I have jinxed it; now it will be a damp squib.

Nowhere else to put it but a lot of noise around Gavaria “not keeping his feet on the ground” and enjoying the finer things in life.
