Not the expected bunch sprint - French champion Antony Roux (Groupama FDJ) makes a well timed run to take the win ahead of Francesco Gavazzi (Androni Giocattoli) and Jeroen Meijers (Roompot).

Another stage win for Kuss on the final day, from Brent Bookwalter & Jack Haig, which means he won the GC by over 2 mins.

I know he's likely to ride in support of Steven Kruijswijk in the Vuelta, but one to watch!

    Just catching up with this.

What an amazing climber... And now, of course, the only riders who immediately spring to mind to perform like that (with such nonchalance), in recent years, are Ricco, Mustafa Sayer and Jon Tiernan Locke... which is a bloody shame.

All being well, by next year LottoNL-Jumbo will have an awesome GT team.

I know what you mean ocdp... Things don't happen without a reason, but then I read this jumbo news item and it has slightly reassured me regarding progression of riders at the team.

40k left - small break with c30s advantage. Will the GC leaders try for the golden kilometer bonuses? Today sees a sprinters finish in Ardooie; Fabio Jakobsen is DNS (illness) so perhaps a chance for Kittel

    Golden Km
de Bie wins the first (+3s), Mohoric the second (+3s) and de Bie gains 1s in the third.

Mohoric keeps the GC lead for now

Brian Smith called the Plinky Plonk result from about 4km out today... he’s bloody good, sometimes...
  • Great finish by Trek. Led into a technical chicane with 1 k to go and one rider hit the brakes to let Jasper Stuyven get a gap and hold off the bunch to take the win

Van der Poel takes St 1 of Artic Race (11 starts, 5 wins on the road this year apparently!)
Almost came a cropper when trying to take hands off bars to celebrate mind!

Van der Poel has only raced nine days on the road this year. He's won four times, plus a GC victory, and come second twice.

This is enough to make him 86th on CQ Ranking for 2018 - ahead of Nibali, Costa, Uran and Zakarin amongst others.

Utterly insane! He is Sagan with tactics.

  • Unfortunately, the Arctic Race GC battle was almost killed off too.
Two crashes on the categorized final lump; the second right at the front of the bunch, causing a road block.

Meanwhile, in Colorado, UHC fail to spot 21 year old Gage Hecht right in front of them, allowing Travis McCabe the embarrassment of celebrate taking the sprint for second place, from a reduced bunch.

What's been going on with Groaning Wagon in the binky race? People keep going for him for PTP but he keeps coming nowhere.

Small break of four - Jonas Rickaert takes himself out of contention by running into the back of his own team car when stopping for a wheel change - remaining three make it to the finish with Magnus Cort Neilsen (Astana) taking the win.

They need to re-calibrate their points allocation

Boucles de la Mayenne can't be worth 39% of a Milan San Remo

Never even heard of Boucles de la Mayenne.

Group led by Calmejean bridges to lead group - 8km to finish in Uzerche.
  • Limousin inside the final 10kms.

Some serious, serious echelon action in the Arctic.

Nicholas Edet (Cofidis) takes the win - some good attacking racing in the final kms. Now leads the GC by 10s

There have been four wins by the breakaway, this week.
Twice in BinchBank, stage one in Colorado and yesterday in Hungary.
That last one by just 2 seconds after 200kms.

Lorenzo Manzin (Vital Concept) wins the sprint into Limoges on the fourth and final stage. Nicholas Edet finshes in eight - enough to win the final GC.
