So has Pidcock actually signed with Wiggins? Saw some posts that suggest it might be bullsh1t?

Someone I know works on the team and I saw a comment from him about not being on the ToB this year. I got the impression it was an unexpected, last minute thing but did wonder if it was an issue with the team or if they'd just been omitted. I mentioned it at the time but no-one picked up on it so I assumed they'd just been omitted.

He's in some pretty good company here.

Even at his tender age I suspect he may merit a fair salary. His father has stated that the deal isn't done.

The British conti teams have to qualify for ToB.

*Over the course of 13-events between April’s East Klondike GP (HSBC UK Spring Cup Series) and the weekend’s Ryedale GP (HSBC UK Grand Prix Series), and including the four UCI events to be held in the UK, the six British registered UCI Continental teams scored points based upon their first rider to finish each race, on a 6-5-4-3-2-1 basis, with teams permitted to drop one score from the UCI events to allow for non-participation. Teams also scored points using the same ratio for their overall position at the end of The Tour Series in May. The top four teams through this process then qualified for the OVO Energy Tour of Britain.

Drug mule Simon Cope said that they didn't qualify as they try to race in Europe,so didn't get the required domestic points. He also said Skoda have signed up for 2 more years as the main sponsor

The French news report also removed the bit about not paying riders. It seems the rider complaining just hadn't raced due to the team programme for the season winding down due to budget restraints not allowing further travel.

Thanks for clarifying. I thought I recalled there being less spaces for British teams when it gained higher status. It's a tricky balance, obviously it's important for the National Series races to get the best in the country attending but it's also a good thing for GB based pro teams to experience racing on the continent especially if you have young riders looking to move up the ranks.
