    That's a curveball.

I guess he knows he ain't a team leader or GC rider now.
Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.

He's an archetypal Sky rider. He also lives in Nice which is where Sky have their training base.

Oh Lordy...the memories of vanladygarden suddenly developing blindness with Cuddles waving frantically at him from the roadside...his guilty reaction when Ned Boulting went to find him after the stage...

Think the lack of success in the past years may have tempered his own ambitions, so he may be more willing to work for a leader and look for his own chances in smaller races. Similar to pretty much all of Sky's super domestiques.

At sky he wouldn't get chances in any race. He'd be miles down the pecking order.

I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.

So to save some cash will they just send him some rattle cans of paint and some stickers,or pay some dodgy Essex spray shop to do it.

I only mention the Canyons because it was reported quite widely that part of the attraction for Martin to Katusha was the Canyon TT bikes.

Also, canyon were very supportive of Dowsett during his hour record attempt, and he takes his kit incredibly seriously.

He also wants another crack at the Hour doesn't he? Makes a lot of sense to follow the bike.

I'd be stunned if Trek weren't on the blower to Uran's agent.

Edit: Just as Richard Moore confirms they are talking.

    Rolland to direct Energie, presumably.

Anyway, how have slipstream seemingly struggled so much to stay afloat over the years? Pretty remarkable given the relative degree of success - grand tour win, tour podiums, monuments.

Feel sorry for the riders and staff but little sympathy for Vaughters. Consistently points out how small their budget is compared with other teams, but isn't it his job to get the cash in? And a hypocrite on the doping issue; who can forget "clean" Ryder Hesjedal winning the Giro...

It's also the official end of the liquigas team; one of the parents that formed this iteration of cannonade.
