Hayman signs on with Orica for another year.
    He'll be 40 in April

Not the oldest in the team

What's the score with Valverde? Will he come back from that at his age?
Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.

He'll no doubt try, but it has to be a long shot that he'll be fully competitive again.

Yeah. Valverde has got age and injury against him. I can see him trying to carry on but maybe not doing the GTs.

From Movistar's perspective this signing makes perfect sense. Especially if the team's relationship with Quintana is turning a bit rocky...

Still not sure he'll win the tour but he has potential to light up some GTs.

Quintana Landa is a pretty punch double act though.

(can you tell I still favour the double leader strategy, despite it only working effectively in one of the last 15 Tours).
  • CN must be gutted. They'd planned to milk the Landa contract situation for at least 3 more pieces

Mind you, Benson has his ongoing infatuation with Landis to knock one out over*

    *scuse the visual

"Floyd, do you watch much cycling?"
"Barely any. I watched the stage finish on Galibier. I think Froome won"
"Great. So what are you impressions of the state of the sport you clearly know little about any more?"

It's like asking me about Hollyoaks having not watched it for 15 years. But I'm happy to agree with your leading questions if I can plug my weed dealership.

    Off topic, sorry

Can't even bring myself to look at it.

is there a better site for news though?
It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.

Landa - Soler and dare we mention the fast improving (again) Betancur

seems so much more than the Quintana - Valverde show

Landa has only really ridden when the pressure was off. His Giro podium was with Aru as leader, he was out of contention at the Giro this year due to the crash, and was a super-domestique at the Tour this year. He's never really performed when he's had leadership roles so must be a bit of an unknown still, albeit a clearly very talented rider.
