I think you should put yourself forward. You're about as divisive as the rest, so what the heck?
I suppose I could, but it would mean a lot less downhilling.

The closest I've come to real politics is meeting Tony Blair on holiday.

Having just been mis-quoted by a Select Committee can't say real politics is what you think it might be. Or maybe it is.

Still can't decide if all that security is to keep us out of Westminster, or to keep us protected from those within.
I'm sure you dont know what I think it might be. Or come to think of it, I probably don't know either.

Anyway for a spot light relief, here is a pic of junior with some shifty looking bloke we bumped into back in August 2007:

What did you bribe her with?

Not sure she fully appreciated who she was posing for a photo at that age. We thought it would be good for the album, its not every day you bump into a recently retired PM.

Hopefully you're not referring to Cherie, who I also had a chat to :)

Is it true that Tony has a tattoo of Jeremy Corbyn on his buttock?

Theresa May. For about 3 months. Then Labour will win the election (subject to James's brother, Jeremy, going this week).

Do we get to vote again if I don't like the outcome?

I'd go for James Corbyn, whoever he is.

I'm sorry to hear that ... did you get compensation?

I thought it said Ronnie Corbett.

Got a free cup of tea and some sandwiches. They were actually quite easy to chat to (I avoided potentially awkward subjects like Gordon or Iraq, as TB had just retired as PM 6 weeks before).

Why is judge dredd not on the list, if we are headed to a bigoted, authoritarian country he would be ideal.

As Gove is still '0' I wonder if I can change the poll to give that option.

I can't change it - I don't think it's confusing to say that if you vote Gove that's actually Jeremy Hunt. It's just like saying if you want £350m spending on the NHS - vote Leave - titter...

Stephen Crabb looks a decent long term candidate (although his opposition to gay marriage could go against him in some quarters and some say he lacks experience). For that reason I think he should keep his powder dry for now and look to the next leadership campaign. Hunt was the first politician I've heard since the vote making suggestions but as his name is now modern day rhyming slang I can't see him getting the job. That said, as he's already toxic and it's likely to be a short term role he might not be a bad choice and then resign before the next GE.

And give him a gold plated life long Prime Minister's pension?
    Fark that.

I thought there had been about 6 leaders since John Major and struggling name them - there have been 4 in fact-
Hague, IDS, Howard and then Cameron since 6/12/2005.

She was very low key during the referendum which could work to her advantage.

yep i think T May would normally have made a very good PM, her or anyone else's problem is the euro vote and leaving the EU.

Out of the above, I hope its Theresa May although I really don't have a positive thing to say about any of them.

It's not really the time for anyone with long term ambitions to be an 'elected' PM to take charge. It's the perfect time for an opportunist to get the role they would never get otherwise. An equivalent of IDS but with the bonus that they got to be PM for a few months.

As Mr Blakey says above, fark that. I'll do the job for a few months in return for the ex PM gold plated no questions asked 6 figure bundle of taxpayers' cash per annum for the rest of my days.

dont forget alot of the names putting themselves forward as leadership candidates arent expecting to win or even get close, its about who they might think could win and is offering them the better cabinet jobs and then playing swapsy trades with their backing supporters.
