I was one of happy Canyon customer before this ongoing saga. Anyway, I decided to purchase a Roadlite AL 6.0 for my partner. I have placed an order yesterday and their expected build date is 13-18 June. Hopefully, I will receive the bike around 20-25 June….will update in future….

Ordered an Aeroad for my daughters new race bike and surprise surprise arrived on time.

then had a size issue that didnt really become apparent immediately and they have been brilliant, despite bike being out of the 30 day return period Canyon are changing it for another size.

I cannot imagine another bike manufacturer doing this, let alone an on-line one.

and NO i dont work for them either :)

That makes two good Canyon stories I've read in one day, maybe they are starting to turn things around...

More likely to be because so many customers have been p***ed off waiting for eternity for their bikes that they cancelled their order.

You sound very bitter, regretting not hanging on ?

tbh we are getting the new bike a week earlier because of a cancelled order......

There do seem to be a few Canyon haters, jumping on every comment or thread to peddle their agendas.

  • I think people are just amazed that a company that can dick its customers around for such a long time and blatantly lie to them in communications or just ignore them, still has any customers and those daft enough to still be a customer seem to be hell bent on defending this terrible service and excusing them!

This is why companies don't worry about customer service any more. It works for Ryan Air and now obviously for Canyon.

Na, i have no regrets on not hanging on. The endless delays made a decision for me which i should have taken before going for the canyon - buying my dream machine S-Works.

I do hold animosity towards Canyon and cant exactly hide that. I have never received such a poor customer service and a company who blatantly lie and mislead customers will never receive custom from me again.

For those who have had their bikes delivered though i hope you are pleased with them and enjoy them.

I've received an email from Canyon and my bike left Koblenz factory yesterday and it's on the way... 1 week ahead of schedule.... :o

In my race last night a bloke crashed and snapped both legs on the forks of his matt black brand new Canyon Aeroad, I have a feeling he will be waiting a long time to get replacements!

If I snapped my forks I think I'd be looking at buying a frameset

Just to say, my bike(well my other half's) arrived this morning few days ahead of original schedule....The bike looks absolutely fantastic....We experienced absolutely no issue what so ever during the purchasing/delivery process. :D:D:D
  • Canyon arrived 1 month ahead, too small, damaged my wheel on the first ride, still accepted a swap, back with me, all before the original delivery date. Very happy customer.

It looks like things are truly settling at Canyon, and they are now again getting their orders out on time.

I shall test this by making a new order LOL.

Update: I paid via bank transfer 2 weeks ago for an Endurace SLX, and after 10 working days Canyon have confirmed that the payment has arrived. The bike is due to be shipped by the end of next week.

If this happens, then we will have come full circle with a successful problem-free order since I started this thread about my order a year ago.

To be fair it is not only UK people that has had problems with Canyon, when I was in Koblenz for a 2 week work trip I went for a ride with a local club and a few of them had fairly new Rose bikes. Apparently they had been messed around with Canyon so went ahead and ordered the bikes through Rose.

speaking of Rose - they re changing computer systems too...

I had a set of Wheels on order a few days before my holiday (don't ask!) but they did nt send them so I asked them to cancel and I re-ordered from a local shop who got them to me the next day.

I emailed Rose and said please cancel the order, they said they couldnt as it was in shipping already (but the DHL tracking showed that they hadnt been picked up). The morning of the trip I emailed them and said that I was leaving the company they were addressed to, I had new wheels from a different shop anyway and that sending them to NL and back was pointless so could they please maybe just not send them.

Half way through the holiday they sent me and e-mail saying that the order had been cancelled.

When I got back i discovered I hadnt been refunded so I emailed them again to ask why and they said they needed bank details (???) so fine, I was refunded, 3 weeks later now

Yesterday I get a text from a friend saying that the wheels have arrived at work (4 weeks)

So....it ain't just Canyon who are lacking in the German Efficiency department...

For anyone who has ordered from Canyon recently it might be worth checking that your address is correct. I've place two orders recently and in both the address in the order confirmation was different from that in the email you receive immediately after placing the order. In both cases a line was missing but a different line in each order. Are Canyon manually copying addresses from one system to another?

I did post a photo a few pages back, though it was the unopened box at the time. Arrived within 3 working days of making the order.

As the OP of this thread, I should post that my new Canyon order has been received within about 4 weeks from order to delivery.

Ordered on the 4th of July, I paid after a few days which then cleared (international transfer) in about 10 working days, it took about a week to dispatch, shipping via UPS took 2 working days, and the bike arrived on the 2nd of August.

A nice change from the 9 month wait and mess from a short while ago.

:D Maybe, but shouldn't be, depends whether they are using CRM as well as ECC, and in which one they're doing Customer Master maintenance.

seriously though, from reading the very recent quotes it seems as if Canyon have finally sorted the delivery issues which is great as their bikes get rave reviews and look great!

I bought a frame, it came earlier than advised but Canyon forgot to put the house number in the address. So, it was delivered to an unoccupied house two doors up. I found the frame outside on the porch and the mech hanger had been put through the letter box. I could see from the UPS web site it had been delivered and signed for. I still havent retreived the mech hanger but Canyon have sent a replacement with no issues. They are also sending me two stems to try on a sale or return basis. The bike looks great.

From my current experience they are still suffering issues.
