This is a bit cheeky. We all know the worlds TT doesn't count. If he finishes 2nd in the proper race, then that would be quite an achievement.

I’m trying to work out which would’ve been worse: impact from front or rear...
Either way, he was well shagged when Dennis caught him today.

What an exciting women's ITT that wasn't, as the usual suspects take the entire podium and Lucinda Brandt 6th place, to make the Dutch domination complete.

because the mens ITT result was so unpredictable too wasn't it

Dumoulin - Roche but no Cigar...

    I'll get me coat.

  • Excellent junior women's road race.

Are we doing spoilers on here?

MTBer, only her second ever road race!

Yes, only saw the last 15 km but that was a cracking race. Would encourage everyone to watch highlights if they can. It should be on Eurosport Player at 12.30.
  • Listening to Vasek of the Czech republic he can climb better and outsprint the Belgian prospect (Remco Evenepoel??) so either he's lying or my money is on him!

The Vacek who came 5th in the Junior European Road Race a mere 9 minutes and 46 seconds behind Evenepoel?

    Crash-tastic Juniors race so far
Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.

Peleton sitting in Merckx's wheel letting him tow them back to 2 leaders who are still about a minute up.
He's already done 15min pulling back to leaders.

Belgies working together, gap coming down slowly. Piccolo (it) and Mayhofer (ger) 46 sec in front with 45 to go.

edit: gap falling fast now, think the escapees are done.
  • I saw there was a crash? Was that ages ago and all back together?

2 escapees 43 sec out front still, and holding it at the moment. 43 km to go

Team HSBC have numbers in the chase group. Still over 40km to go though.

The Belgie on the front of the peloton deserves a medal if it comes back together.
Watching with sound off so don't know who, think Remco is in second wheel.

Where's Dan Martin from? Where's Luke Rowe? Ben Swift & Adam Blythe any use?

Dan is Irish (can't you tell by his accent? )

Was hoping maybe N Ireland, on the border. plus I mostly watch in silence at work

He's actually from Birmingham isn't he? Irish mother (Stephen Roche's sister). I think he chose to ride for Ireland due to some issues with British Cycling early in his career, although he might just feel more Irish than British.

They always describe him as being from Birmingham, but he's not, he's from Tamworth. The secondary school I went to shared a school field with the catholic primary school Dan went to. As far as I can tell he would have been at the primary school when I was at the secondary school.

What a rider. He's destroyed the entire field and then some.

    18km left.
Remco broken the elastic from Mayrhofer and TTing away to victory. 2 Italians a minute and half back.

Very impressive, young Sagan with a better TT.

    Immense cowbell

Awesome riding by Remco Evenepoel - but can Mayrhofer stay ahead of the 2 ITA riders?

Probably. They have been caught by other chasers and are 1min behind. 14km to go for Remco.
