Spectacular views from the TT course, Austria does look lovely
  • Which is a good live tracker site?
  • Good updates on the cyclingnews ticker
  • First Finisher:

Kelderman comes to the line and stops the clock on 1:07:23.

Several others way quicker at first split. Wilco not even top 5, but they may suffer on the hill.

Madsen 42” ahead at the 35km split
  • Wilco not even the fastest to the top of the climb - now 3rd after Madsen.

Madsen only races at Conti level but strong TT pedigree

Madsen goes top by 44 seconds, with a very uncomfortable looking narrow bar set up

Nothing conclusive about the times for the first split. All about pacing up that climb. Advantage Dennis so far
  • Dennis catches Castroviejo....

Yep, that climb looks horrendous. Stefan Kung not looking to have a huge amount of fun!

Apparently the "descent" isn't really a descent, as you still have to put a load of watts down

Dennis catching Castrogievo on the climb

Have we had a time check for Dumoulin?

Thank you. Around a minute between Dumoulin and Dennis

    Twitter sugesting Dennis over Dumolin...

    Is that right?

    Edit: yes
We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

  • Dumoulin has finally run out of form.
62" down at the top of the climb.

Tom D is lean as a butchers dog but getting pretty much annihalated by Dennis, looks like he was dragging a piano up there

Unless something goes spectacularly wrong for someone (Dennis) this is now Campenaerts vs Dumoulin for silver.

Campenaerts is all over the shop, looks to be putting out some series watts (with those calves especially) but looks so messy!

Dennis putting TIME into Victor C - 1:21, Dumoulin won't get too close to that

Dennis wins by over a minute. Says something when the guys he passed still made the top 10.
  • Dumoulin almost beaten by Campenaerts. Says it all.
Nowhere near last year's form after 2 GTs and a bunch of other races after that.

Dumoulin completes the Giro/Tour/Worlds treble of second places

Also Kwiatkowski has been fourth in both men's events so far

It's a shame because it may well end up being forgotten but that is some record isn't it? Quite an achievement, obviously people have had good seasons before but generally for a much shorter time period

I wouldn't complain if he won the Velo d'Or this year (I doubt he will though)
