    Bender, hello?!

Me thinks he's stuck in a muddy field in Wales. Must have occurred sometime on Sunday. If you're in Wales, can you have a look over fences and hedges whilst cycling around please? His wife told me she and the kids are missing him (and his wallet).

I was in Wales last week, but didn't see him.

    You get about a bit!

He said he was away with his wife. That doesn't mean he isn't in a muddy field though.

  • Lord I hope not. Crashed on a hill last summer, and was in ICU for ten days and off the bike for ten months :(

Ouch. That's a proper crash - no mucking around there. Glad you're still pedalling(?) and have you now moved to Lincolnshire?

Did the tinnitus start after the crash?

My Lumos helmet has still not arrived, and after e-mailing their support e-mail, I had an automated reply that said I should have received an e-mail with a tracking number.

The e-mail I had before that asked me to check my details, which I did back in November, and then said that my order number should be shipping with a batch on December 8th.

So I have a sneaking suspicion that it has been missed somehow, hence the no tracking number, and I doubt I will have it in time for Christmas - shame as it was meant to be the present from my daughter to her mum :-(

Has anyone on here ordered one that has an order number higher than 4500, and either already has theirs or at least has a tracking number?

Lets see how long it takes them to reply to my e-mail, and what they come back with.

  • That's irritating and, from some of the comments on the web, sending them out in a particular order isn't going to plan. I'll see if I can chase.

  • Noticed that the Rivelo stuff on SP was at full RRP yesterday, not sure if it was a mistake?
  • I don't think so, it all is. I think they may have to do that now and again to justify the sale price and, of course, if you want it now before Xmas you have to pay the full rrp. It'll no doubt be down again soon.

Thankyou very much Btr, didn't expect you to go to that trouble, I was just posting as an update and to see if anyone else had theirs.
    Much appreciated though :D

4 delivery days left, still no tracking number, lets see if it arrives and if they try and charge me duty.
I need to print out that link you posted (a few pages back iirc?) about safety equipment being exempt. I just know if I don't have it, I will need it. Law of sod and all.

    Dear Bender

I ordered a Porsche online straight from the dealer and it never arrived. Has anyone else ever had this sort of trouble from Porsche UK? They sent me an email confirming my order and I have been waiting for days for it to arrive. Boy I was so looking forward to it and I had saved up all year. I have never been so disappointed. Seems everything has gone wrong at the wrong time of year for things to go wrong.

Guess what was delivered about an hour ago?
Nope, not a drug dealer special hideous Cayenne, but my gf's Lumos helmet :-)

    Bonza.

    Good review.

Question on my mind is do I go for this or the Mossa 2?
  • They're pretty similar. I'd say the Mossa2 is slightly warmer, has a slightly better waistband. But the Repel is cheaper and, frankly, easier to get. And easier to send back if you're not happy. Merlin have them at £125.

Schwalbe's new X-One bite cyclocross tyres.

Interestingly cheap. The directional bit looks obvious to me in the pics: the middle row of "studs" look angled and the "sipes" on the outer two rows are clearly directional.

Those pics look like typical 'Puffer conditions (except that it's daylight...)
