Anyone knows how long it took Quintana to climb the alpe?
Does that 23rd place include the cheaters of the last few decades or is that from (mostly) clean riders?
From Tucker's Twitter ... "@Scienceofsport: That's a wrap for #tdf15 Was said earlier this week that ppl's doubt were the result of 'pattern recognition'. Today didn't fit any patterns".
By and large, folks are not impressed :?0 -
Meanwhile, congrats to Luke Rowe - a great debut Tour for him0
-
Good stage today, shame Quintana couldn't take the stage win too though, he would have got a great response from the crowd I'm sure.
Now we need Cav to fail tomorrow to top off what's generally been an enjoyable tour apart from the totally idiotic treatment of Froome and the stupid doping claims 100% of which have been based on absolutely f*** all.0 -

Great effort by both Sky and Movistar today. Very relieved to see Froome survive a terrific onslaught from Quintana.
Rematch at the Vuelta?
I think Sky's longer game payed off, though. Just as well for Movistar that Sky could hang on.Ecrasez l’infame0 -

They seem to have a genuine respect for each other's abilities. It's got to be a pretty awesome feeling to be 1 of the 2 best at something in the world.0 -

Damn straight! Not like that cheating Italian (Nibali) Froome didn't drop when he had problems.

Couldn't relax the whole stage today. Really pleased Froome managed to hang on especially all the crap he had to endure. Having said that, if he was going to lose to anyone I was pleased it would have been Nairo.
A great stage.“You may think that; I couldn’t possibly comment!”

I note not a word from the French minister of sports or his deputy about these incidents or from any other French minister the last couple of days. Not everyone can be on holiday, surely?
There are a few voices in the wilderness though. Philippe Bilger, one of the highest ranking judges in France has defended Froome and says Jalabert should be ashamed of what he insinuated. The French PM also defended Froome after his win in the Pyrenees.BASI Nordic Ski Instructor

Great race, one of my favorit Tours. A pity Tinkoff made Contador do the Giro, had he been in top form the battle would have been even tighter. Still, you can only beat the competition present. Geat riding by Foome and Sky, and Quintana will probably win the event next year, If his team is strong enough. Roll on 2016.0

Froome saying he's had a tight chest since Wednesday.
As for spitting, as I put on twitter, they should find the people, put them on telly with Froome and explain why they spat on him.Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0 -

Really? I don't think so. There's no reason at all CF couldn't win again next year. Unless Movistar out-SKY SKY themselves by buying the very best super domestiques.0 -

Just watched it. Can't help but feel Quintana is going to look back at a few stages and think what if. Can't really fault them today but with that deficit they needed to throw caution to the wind a bit earlier.[Castle Donington Ladies FC - going up in '22]0

He''s my hero! And he just got tested +ve only once for Salbuterol - which at the time was not a banned substance. Please don't knock Big Mig of the high niche I have him placed upon0 -

If these guys keep this rivalry (on the best of terms) going, we could be in for a great few years of TdF (yes there are other big races). 8)Ecrasez l’infame0 -
Re the Alpe records, where’s Indurain’s asterisk? He’d need a couple!Bit generous not to have at least put a star next to Indurain, or am I being harsh?
If you take out everyone who has entries (whether punished or not - btw Big Mig never tested +ve for a banned substance) on dopeology.org you get this rather impressive list
16. 2006: 39:00 Carlos Sastre 21.23 km/h
19. 2004: 39:14 Jose Azevedo 21.10 km/h

Third week Mountain Time Trial? A welcome back to the tour to the Galibier or the Telegraphe.
Not sure what else they can put in the tour to make it tougher.0
