good race huh"If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. What we're witnessing here is the world's most high profile mid-life crisis" Afx237vi Mon Jul 20, 2009 2:43 pm0

Good point. I'd forgotten about Hesjedal. I suppose that's how he managed to win the giroTeam My Man 2018: David gaudu, Pierre Latour, Romain Bardet, Thibaut pinot, Alexandre Geniez, Florian Senechal, Warren Barguil, Benoit Cosnefroy0 -

It takes the British to give the world a clean yellow jersey winner.0

Brilliant finish there. Despite cheering for Quintanna to win he stage, super-pleased for Pinot as he was the only rider this year I was excited to watch. A shame the rest of his race unfolded but a fitting finish.
If only all stages were this good....0 -

Yeah but he doesn't them does he? He pulls moves like that and then people wonder why he's disliked.
Tb, I don't think he ever wondered why he's disliked. More than a hint of the Hinault about him in that respectTeam My Man 2018: David gaudu, Pierre Latour, Romain Bardet, Thibaut pinot, Alexandre Geniez, Florian Senechal, Warren Barguil, Benoit Cosnefroy0 -
So Evil Sky's evil dominance amounts to 1 good mountain stage then managing their losses ever since. I hope certain people are feeling a touch silly."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Yes he did, the knob.
But Froome was actually racing Quintana at that stage.
Anyway academic now. All came down to stage 2 then?0 -
What a great champion. Perfect team performance.

Well, Kenya..."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

First Maillot Jaune and KOM since the greats0

Decent stage in the end, Tour ultimately won on the flat stages in the echelons. Hard to tell whether Froome just decided to control things and could have ultimately given more had he needed to but he looked like he'd been struggling for a few days. Pleased for Pinot, not sure whether he'll ever manage to gain the mental capacity to win the GC though. Nibali experiencing karma.0

Froome wins Tour by 1;12 from Quintana. Not exactly a huge gap with all this "SkY-are-doping" crap.

The world is just so damn lucky we are here.0

Well, Kenya...
And Belgium. It's not so much about winning, I just hate losing.0 -
'Kin' epic stuff. Loved it.0

Awesome to watch.
So... "Sky will never win another GT with Brailsford"... what was your wager?"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Froome looked ill when embracing Brailsford. Wouldn't be surprised if he confirms he's come down with something. Would also explain why he couldn't go with Quintana (that's no knock on Quintana's performance by the way)."One thing that is worse than Carlton Kirby: people complaining about Carlton Kirby.
Talk about first world problems."

Sky take 3 out of the last 4 tours, whatever your opinions are that is amazing!0

Well, I've wheel sucked P and P to the finish, survived the brutal ITV 4 attacks on my sanity, and on the last day, I pop......
.......I HATE all these football related ads.

Right, that's that done then. Suppose we just wait for FF to give his verdict now?0
-
Here's a prediction.. Froome won't do the Tour next year..0

Froome did look like a skeleton on a bike there. Not just skinny, but gaunt.0
